The property

Elevated above the Norfolk salt marches in the sleepy village of Salthouse is Seaview Cottage, a wonderful dwelling offering a striking combination of contemporary styling with characterful features.

With its excellent position, just moments away from Salthouse’s superb shingle beach and an array of things to do, Seaview Cottage promises to be the ultimate base for families, beachcombers, avid ramblers to call home as they discover this magnificent part of East Anglia.

Upon entering the property, be welcomed into the light-filled kitchen, where along the sleek marble effect splash back walls, light grey painted cabinets are topped by the same stunning marble effect and complete with modern touches and all the quality appliances one would expect from an exceptional self-catering accommodation.

Slip through the door to find the spacious and beautifully presented living room to find an electric fire sitting within a striking handmade brick reveal, while the sumptuous grey sofas are piled with plush cushions, ready to sink into after a bracing day on the coast.

Flick on the electric fire to allow a gentle warmth to fill the space, before tuning into the TV or gathering at the dining table to relish in the company of your loved ones over a bottle of wine or a home-cooked dish.

Take the far door to find the conservatory, where you can look forward to spending a balmy morning with a drink in hand ahead of an action-packed afternoon.

As the evening draws to a close, take the stairs up to the first floor landing, which grants access to the two bedrooms, where you can choose between a king-size bed with ample storage space and another king-size bed, where you can wake up to the captivating views of the sea each morning.

The rear garden at Seaview Cottage is a sunny spot, where table and chairs offer an alternative spot for alfresco dining, whilst to the front of the property there is off-road parking at the front of the property for 1 car and furth parking 30 meters away.

Better acquaint yourself with your surrounding and meander into the centre of the village, where you will find a village shop, two pubs and the parish church of St Nicholas, making it a charming base for touring further afield.

Explore the famous marshes, which is home to common and rare species of birds with the Salthouse Marshes and Salthouse Heath being part of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve before venturing to the Salthouse Heath, which boasts unrivalled views of the coastline.

Beach seekers can venture to the local shingle beach, where you will find further opportunities for walking, wildlife spotting and fishing, as well as meandering the ten-mile Salthouse Sculpture Trail do uncover yet more breath-taking scenery.

Just a short distance away from the cottage is the traditional seaside town of Cromer, where you will find more sandy beaches, surfing opportunities and more wonderful walks along the Norfolk Coast Path or you could meet the animals at Amazona Zoo or brush up on the local history with a visit to Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate, the historical market town of Holt is a 10 minute drive from the cottage, there is a village shop that sells local produce in the neighbouring village Cley-next-the-sea, you can also enjoy a seal trip from Blakeney which is a 10 minute drive from the cottage.

Not far from the nearby village of Blakeney, is the lovely village of Salthouse in Norfolk, located on salt marshes, this is a great holiday base. Home to a shingle beach, perfect for walking along, fishing or simply observing the natural wildlife, joining Kelling beach to the east and Cley-next-the-Sea beach to the west. Home to a village shop and deli as well as a few pubs, you can be sure to have all your essentials close by, with Blakeney just down the road which is home to a SPAR. A great feature to explore is the Salthouse Sculpture Trail occupying ten-miles of coastline with amazing views. Walk up Salthouse Heath to take in far-reaching views of the landscape following a network of paths between the ferns and heathers, it's delightful in summer or winter.
