“Site of our chalet quiet very clean.”
Chalet very clean all little extras included which was a great help. Owner very pleasant and helpful. Very nice walk to dig friendly beach. Kids had a great safe experience thank you- Mrs Mason, August 2019
“The owner of the chalet very personable lady, and even gave us a flying start for comfort on holiday in supplying all tea cloths, towels (1 hand 1 bath per person), with tea coffee and sugar and fresh milk all there on our arrivals.”
With sufficient amount of crockery, glasses. In fact everything catered for. Couldn’t have wished for better. A1 holiday and host.- Ms Brooks-lewis, August 2019
“The chalet was extremely well equipped and had everything you could possibly need during your stay.”
Very comfortable and immaculately clean. A short walk to a dog friendly beach. Small, well provisioned supermarket, takeaways, etc, few minutes walk away. My only complaint is that I was given the address of 148, California Road and it is actually chalet 418, California Sands, California Road. I phoned the owner and she was very helpful. In fact, I left something behind and she immediately offered to post it to me.- Mrs Lawson, June 2019
“The chalet was immaculate, not just clean but REALLY clean.”
There was a good selection of cookware/dishes etc and I was please to see that extra bedding was available should it have been required. Our hostess had left us milk in the fridge and tea/coffee supplies which was a really nice welcome after our 6 hour drive. On the downside the bed in the main bedroom was very low for an older person and the style of bed left it difficult to walk around. The bed however, was comfortable, although I slept in the single bed due to the bed being so low. Hubby was not unhappy with as he did not have to listen to me snore. The television went off but this was a site issue and not the TV itself. The largest saucepan leaked; however, I did report all these issues to the owner who was grateful for my feedback so the issues could be resolved. We visited over Easter for a week so it was lively for the Easter weekend. Many people left after the bank holiday and the site was lovely and peaceful. The location of our chalet meant a nice 5 minute stroll through the neighbouring caravan park to a well stocked and relatively inexpensive shop where you can purchase food, tobacco, alcohol and newspapers. The beaches in Norfolk are beautiful but there is only so much beach you can take if you do not have small children to enjoy it with. There seemed to be an overall lack of information as to what there was to see and do within the local vicinity. Everything seemed to be geared toward Norwich and Wroxham and whilst not far away, we did have our pooch to consider. She would not have enjoyed trekking around the streets of Norwich. I would not visit again but this is nothing to do with the chalet, it is more about the location. With no motorways in Norfolk the journey was longer than it needed to be with very little to offer at the end of it. That said, it would be perfect for a younger couple with a couple of small children due to the activities that seemed readily available to accommodate them.- Mrs Procter, April 2019
“The property was as described, clean, spacious enough for 2 adults and a child.”
The beach was lovely, perfect for dogs. However while we booked the chalet knowing the park was shutting on the day of our departure we were not made aware that everything was already shut on site. The arcade was closed from Monday. The indoor pool was already shut before we arrived. The clubhouse was shut. The only thing we found open was the pizza place and after trying the food we wished that was shut as well. We ended up coming home a day early due to us planning to use the pool and the arcade on the rainy days but these places were shut.- Mr Cardall, October 2018
“Lovely clean chalet in an ideal location.”
Looking forward to returning in the future.- Mrs Sackville, September 2018
