  • “Gansey Cottage is a very comfortable cottage with excellent instant hot water and central heating as needed.”

It is ideally situated within a few paces from the beach. It has highly efficient double glazing and the pubs are around the corner, so it is lovely and quiet. The patio area is a lovely suntrap. The beds were comfortable and it is well furnished. It would be great if there was a dvd player with some dvds, as the TV channels were limited and one evening the TV signal disappeared altogether, however, the internet was fantastic and we'd taken a laptop, so we watched a few things on there instead ...

The location of the cottage was fantastic and we loved everything Sheringham had to offer, especially Marmalade's Bistro which was out of this world, (must be booked way in advance). Thanks again, we had a great week.

About the location

SHERINGHAM

Cromer 4.8 miles.

Sheringham was originally a small fishing village on the North Norfolk coast, but with the arrival of the railways in 1887 it prospered and grew into a popular holiday town. Sheringham has been awarded ten consecutive European Blue Flags for cleanliness for its beach, along with awards from Britain in Bloom, Anglia in Bloom, and Best Coastal Resort. Enjoy walking along the East or West promenades, offering sea views with blue skies and red sunsets, a beach with a silver-pebbled shoreline leading to golden sands with rock pools and streams next to ochre cliffs, local fishing boats and a RLNI lifeboat station with museum. This attractive traditional seaside town also has the 'Little Theatre', open all year round, seaside gardens with seating, a model boating lake, independent shops, tea rooms, steam railway, golfing, amusement arcades, and fish & chip shops selling locally-caught fish.
