  • "Waveney Cottage was even better than described."

Lovely and warm, had everything we required and there were beautiful objects everywhere you looked. The owner was quick to respond with any queries and we had a totally wonderful week there. Would love to visit again in the summer as the garden was gorgeous.

AGA cooker was a bit difficult to use as newbies!

  • "There was no mention in listing of the narrow, steep staircase, anyone over 5'6 needs to be aware of head clearance, not suitable for an infirm person or one with mobility issues."

Disappointing - Hot tub is past it's best, this was a main factor for booking, seats three at a push, (sleeps 4) slimy film as soon as we stepped in and gritty, had to clean rim and head pillows after one use! Could do with a descale. Noted the base was crumbling which may add to the fact it's not level and required top up after each use. Outside lights need adding to check list as there were several bulbs out, two we managed to change over with driveway lamps. Both the sensor lights didn't work making it tricky at night. On the plus these were the only disappointing aspects of our stay. Beautifully presented thatched cottage. loved the Aga and retro B&O sound system. Although close to road it was surprisingly quiet and very dog friendly garden.

  • "We are just back from our stay at Waveney Cottage."

Set in picturesque surroundings the cottage was beautifully maintained with everything we could possibly need to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. It has a huge garden perfect for our labradoodle to explore and run in. The hot tub provided us with relaxing evenings after busy days. Thank you for our stay.

  • "The cottage and location were wonderful."

The decor and design is lovely with great finishing touches. We had a very peaceful time there, enjoying the hot tub and garden. Our dog loved the space to run around and as he is known for running off to chase cars, we were very grateful for the chicken wire surrounding the entire perimeter. He loved the dogs beds and throws. The few niggles we had we brought up with the owners who were very agreeable. Location wise we were 6 minutes drive into Harleston, and 38 minutes away from all main areas. The recommendations for eating out and takeways were brilliant. Overall a superb break. One niggle - the garden furniture cushions were damaged but they were clean and usable. Thank you

  • "Beautiful old country house with lovely features."

Very spacious and clean. Huge garden with summer house and jacuzzi makes this an ideal break if the weather is fine. We felt at home immediately. Location was ideal for the plans we had.

  • "The cottage is beautiful, inside and out!"

We had everything we needed; the house was warm, cosy and ticked every box. The owner left good information and added nice touches like wine, chocolates, milk and more! We found the location to be perfect ; it was easy to find, quiet but only a short drive /25 min walk to Diss. Our only critique is the hot tub being quite gritty and no where to hang a towel outside, but really only very minor points! We would stay again in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

  • "This is a truly beautiful cottage."

Clearly well loved, looked after and tastefully decorated. Plenty of space, a well stocked kitchen and very clean. The owner made us feel very much at home with extra touches that were not expected. It is a quiet area with just occasional traffic noise and farm traffic. The hot tub was a fabulous way to relax in the evenings. It is a great location to explore this part of Norfolk/Suffolk. The nearby town of Harlaston (2/3 miles away) has some lovely independant shops, cafe's and a supermarket. The cottage is just off a main (sometimes busy) road not suitable for walking along, but okay for cycling. However, turn down the lane the over way, you could walk relatively traffic free for some distance. Overall, would highly recommend this cottage for a get away from it all break.

  • "Waveney Cottage is absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful time, so much so we have already rebooked for next year."

The area is gorgeous with lots of lovely walks, short drive to a sandy beach and we hired a boat for a day on the Norfolk Broads. We had an amazing week and we were sad to leave.

  • "In my opinion the cottage had everything, the gardens and interior were fab."

I’d highly recommend it to everyone, especially if you have dogs. The location of the property meant we could be anywhere in either Suffolk or Norfolk within an hour. Our trip was Mon - Fri and it was fantastic. Get booking.....

  • "Lovely stay at the cottage enjoyed the hot tub and sitting in the garden."

Cottage is pet friendly although we don’t have a dog it is a lovely safe garden for them if you do. Bed was very comfortable linen and towels very nice. Stairs could be a challenge for anyone not very mobile but fine for us just remember to duck when going up. If there was one thing to improve it needs a mirror on dressing table and maybe a small extension cable as there is no mirror near enough to a plug to do your hair. Other than that had a fabulous week.

  • "Great communication from Dave from prebooking to arrival."

Excellent cottage fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Both aga and hot tub were preheated for our arrival and made good use of whilst we were there! The garden is huge and really well kept. The secluded location is great for a quiet staycation with the main town a 30min walk if quick cab ride away. Fantastic aftercare too, I was silly enough to leave some bits in the bedside table and with no quibbles they very kindly posted them back to me . Would highly recommend.

  • "This cottage is fabulous."

The interior is classic country cottage but with a few quirky aspects that gives it even more charm and charisma!! The 'welcome' chocolates and wine was a lovely gesture and the Aga was a joy to cook on. The surrounding countryside is blissful and on a warm summers night, the sunsets from the top of the hill looking down towards the cottage, over the corn are to die for. The garden space is fantastic, for both adults and dogs alike and there are a few hidden gems in both the summerhouse and garden area for guests to discover.....not telling though as don't want to spoil the fun!! The owners have put a lot of time and effort into making this a superb holiday experience and I would most definately recommend staying here. The photos really don't do this place justice as you can't capture the sense of peace and wellbeing this place brings to all who stay there. Lots to discover in this part of Suffolk, great days out just 40 minutes drive away, whether you like countryside walks or beach adventures. Top Tip: If you get the chance, go to Covehithe beach & walk to the nature reserve and then back along the coastal path to the priory ruins...... stunning.

  • "Amazing house - hosts attention to details was great."

The welcome for our dog was lovely, beds, bowls and bags. Hot tub a bonus. Garden is large and enclosed so completely safe for our dog. House was very isolated which some might like would just say you need to drive to get anywhere - minimal footpaths on fast roads.....but it wouldn’t put us off because the house was beautiful!
