  • "Had a very warm welcome from Sally and Meg who ran through everything with us when we arrived."

Lovely cosy cottage. The garden was totally secure, unlike other cottages we've stayed in, for the dogs which was amazing as we didn't have to watch them or keep Alfie (a bit of an escape artist)on his lead all the time. A wonderful walk in the countryside for Alfie & Millie just a few yards from the cottage. An ideal stay for any anybody with dogs. Will return again and recommend to our friends.

  • "This property is so lovely and clean and such good value for money."

The front garden isn't enclosed as stated as the gate has been removed but the back garden was enclosed and a very nice one too. Plenty of room for our dog to run around. There is plenty of outdoor seating and cushions and parasol in the garage. The road is slightly noisy during the daytime if the windows are open but it quietens down a lot on an evening. The owners have thought of everything to make it home from home. The board games were great to play and plenty to choose from. The kitchen is very well equipped and clean. A great position to visit places especially Sandringham just up the road 4 miles away. The local beaches are lovely and dogs allowed too. The local pub, "Rose and Crown" serves good food and is dog friendly with a lovely beer garden too. The owners live next door and were not intrusive at any time but nice to know they are at hand if needed. We will defiantly book again if in that area and think the ladies have done a great job with this pretty cottage. Well Done.

About the location

Heacham 3 miles; Royal Sandringham 4 miles; Hunstanton 5 miles.

Snettisham is a traditional Norfolk village, with many of its houses built from the local iron-rich carr stone, which has an attractive golden-brown colouring. Due to this, the buildings are known locally as “gingerbread houses”. Village amenities include general stores, a Post Office, 2 inns, a bistro and a regular bus service to the bustling, family-friendly seaside resort of Hunstanton and historic King’s Lynn. The church of St Mary sits alone on top of the hill and is certainly worthy of a look inside at the exquisitely decorated tracery flowers on the west window. There is an RSPB bird sanctuary close to the beach, which is three miles away, and the ancient Peddars Way public footpath runs near to the village. Park Farm is on the edge of the village, and is a working farm with year-round activities for all the family, including a 45-minute “deer safari” and the chance to feed some of the animals. The Royal Estate of Sandringham, whose impressive house, gardens and church are open to the public, is nearby, as are the plant farm, tea rooms and gift shop at Norfolk Lavender, England's premier lavender farm.
