The cottage was remote enough and also close enough to the towns and local villages, the hot tub was a great addition to relax in and regard from our busy work life.

Wild deer, rabbits playing, a hot tub to watch them in. The lodge is super homely, with supplies for tea and biscuits. Clean and well presented. Overall 10/10.

Very well equipped with everything you needed to cook a meal. Very relaxing watching the wildlife on the lovely big garden. Hot tub fantastic...Can't fault anything. We had such a chilled out break. Hosts are great, never bothered us but there when we needed them. Pub 5 minute walk away. More pubs & supermarkets a short drive away. Perfect

Everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay was provided. Hosts extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Wildlife in the huge garden was lovely to watch with a glass of wine on the terrace in the evening(birds, rabbits, squirrels and deer). Hot tub was very welcome after a day exploring the area. Would definitely recommend this property and will certainly be returning. Thank you Jane & Eugene

The accommodation was very comfortable and peaceful. The hot tub was very relaxing despite the 40 degree heatwave! The property was finished to a high standard as it was built just before Covid pandemic, so everything was brand new. I would definitely recommend SomePlace Else to anyone who wants a quiet break in Norfolk.

Tranquil and comfortable in a perfect setting. It was lovely to meet the owls and watch all the wildlife in the garden (deer, rabbits, squirrels, and lots of birds!) It's so peaceful and quiet here, it makes for a great night's sleep and stargazing in the hot tub is the best way the spend the evenings! Immaculately presented, has everything you need and the hosts are wonderful too. Can I move in, please?

About the location

DISS

Bury St. Edmunds 22 miles; Norwich 23 miles.

Diss is a popular rural market town in the south of Norfolk, where its buildings offer examples of gothic architecture, and an insight of the towns past life can be found within the local museum. The market place is the hub of the town, which is overlooked by its beautiful 13th century church. At the bottom of the town is Diss Mere, a 6-acre lake with a fountain that runs all day, along with its adjacent park where you can relax while watching the world pass you by, making this a truly idyllic location. Diss has narrow winding streets with secret little courtyards, and a high street offering an array of small shops and tea rooms. On Friday the high street is home to the weekly market and to the edge of town a weekly auction is held in the local salesrooms. To the other side edge of Diss you will find its 18 hole golf course. Walkers can explore the Boudica Way, a wonderful 40 mile walk from Diss to the medieval city of Norwich. Approximately 2 miles from Diss is Bressingham, with its Steam Museum,17 acres of beautiful gardens, garden centre, restaurant, and the Dad’s Army collection where you can wander through Walmington-on-Sea with its original props and vehicles from the TV series. Other local attractions include Banham Zoo, the 100th Bomb Group Museum, along with the many attractions and amenities to be found in the cathedral city of Norwich.
