  • “The apt was delightful but the ...”

The apt was delightful but the outside on approach needed a good clean---weeds instead of flowers in the wall planters and a general tidy up.As the apt is situated in the boatyard area we would not return. The road that runs alongside is very noisy but bearable. Having said that nothing detracted from having a great holiday.Norfolk is wonderful.

The property

Set in the middle of a row of six cottages, with a balcony from the first floor lounge and ground floor patio.

Overlooking unspoilt marshland and marina, this retreat lies just 5 miles from the glorious beaches at Sea Palling, Wroxham, Blickling and Felbrigg Halls.

Whether you are planning a heart-warming holiday with the family or a romantic getaway for two, this modern accommodation is an excellent spot to relax and unwind all-year-round.

The lounge is complete with two sofas and draws in natural lighting from the French doors, which open out to the lovely balcony area, should you wish to stroll out into the sunshine.

Continue a homely evening with some quality time together in the kitchen/diner, designed to a high standard with natural light from an overhead Velux window.

Settle down with your loved ones to discuss the day’s adventures before cosying up in one of the two beautiful bedrooms.

The twin room boasts a classic feel, with a neutral finish, whilst the double is elegantly presented, benefiting from access to the patio, for a nice start to the morning.

To complement the layout, a shower room features a large shower cubicle and a modern suite, perfect for getting ready before an eventful afternoon.

On the edge of the Norfolk Broads, the village of Sutton houses a local pub, the Sutton Staithe Hotel, set beside the River Ant, which flows downstream to Barton Broad, How Hill and Ludham Bridge.

Just outside the village is Sutton Mill, a restored 18th-century windmill which rises to a remarkable 9 stories in height.

Norwich lies further afield, a wonderful fusion of the modern and historic, one complimenting the other.

About the location

SUTTON

Wroxham 9 miles; Norwich 16 miles.

Sutton is a picturesque village at the eastern end of Sutton Broad, just south of the market town of Stalham, on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. The local pub is the Sutton Saithe Hotel, set beside the River Ant, which flows downstream to Barton Broad, How Hill and Ludham Bridge, through some of the most beautiful Norfolk Broads scenery, and there is a garden centre and a pottery in the village. At nearby Stalham is the popular Museum of the Broads. Just outside the village is Sutton Mill, a restored 18th-century windmill which rises to a remarkable 9 stories in height. Norwich lies further afield, a wonderful fusion of the modern and historic, one complementing the other. Like any great city its centre is easy to walk around and boasts a river at its heart.
