“Mulberry cottage is a lovely house, fully equipped with everything you need for a good holiday.”

Maybe it could be improved by new mattresses in the downstairs twin, and the bedding was a little tired. However, we had a most enjoyable holiday.

only complaint the mattreses on the beds were quite flimsy and uncompfortabletable for a good nights sleep. Many of the windows were stuck and could not be opened or stuck in the closed position. Apart from that a wonderfull house to live in.

“The cottage is well kitted out with all you could need.”

Great location for popping to Cromer, Norwich and about. The mattresses could have been thicker but our party are.... how can I say it "built for comfort" as well as tall so the shower with the sloping ceiling was a bit restrictive but we managed. On a personal note, the only other suggestion would be to replace the duck filled duvets with synthetic as my husband has asthma and we had to go and buy a blanket to use instead.

“Whilst the usual niceties were there, some tea,coffee,milk and sugar; we missed not receiving any soap for either washing or washing up.”

Otherwise the house was suitably equipped with plenty of crockery,cutlery and glasses. The level of information was sadly lacking. There was a folder and various brochures but nothing told us about - where were the nearest supermarkets, how to contact a doctor or where the nearest A & E department was. I could go on but you get the gist. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay, found the supermarket and did not need a doctor or A & E.

“Great cottage.”

Very comfortable, clean and lovely and warm. The latter was especially important as I took my elderly parents! A very last minute booking and Sykes and the owner worked hard to make it happen for us. Only thing that would improve it would be wi-fi and maybe an external light as quite hard to find in the dark.

“Lovely village.”

Great size house. Would benefit from Wi-Fi and a fence in the garden. A couple of taps need attention in the bathroom and kitchen as they were hard to turn off. Would stay again.

The property

This comfortable detached cottage offers spacious accommodation for friends and families, on the edge of the traditional Norfolk village of Southrepps.

Walk through the well-equipped kitchen and you will enter the light, airy double aspect sitting room, with windows to the front overlooking the fields and a large bay window to the side.

The sitting room also has a lovely open fire to enjoy on cooler evenings.

There is a ground floor twin bedroom, and three upstairs bedrooms along with a bathroom and separate shower room.

Outside you can enjoy your own private garden area, which is ideal for eating out or enjoying a morning coffee while planning some of the many things you can do in this area.

SOUTHREPPS

Overstrand 3.5 miles; Cromer 5 miles; Sheringham 10 miles.

The village of Southrepps lies just five miles south of Cromer near to the north Norfolk coast. The village boasts two shops and a popular pub. Overstrand village is just over three miles away and sits on the cliff top overlooking a large sandy beach. The popular seaside resort town of Cromer is just five miles from Southrepps and is world famous for Cromer crabs, a true delicacy. A couple of miles further up the coast is the genteel resort of Sheringham which acts as the terminus for the North Norfolk Steam Railway. A little further afield are the popular market towns of Holt and Aylsham, the cathedral city of Norwich and an abundance of wildlife and birdwatching opportunities.
