  • "Whilst the kitchen was well equipped, the photos of the property were very deceiving."

Also, you were led to believe that the property was on its own, but it was semi-detached and there were other properties on the site. Generally the property was "acceptable", but the upstairs bathroom was awful! There was nowhere to store toiletries - not even a shelf - and no shelf in the shower. The shower curtain stuck to you as it only went halfway along and the water pressure was very temperamental! Although we had a very small towel holder on the radiator in the upstairs double, we had to dry our towels on chairs on the landing every day and the Velux Blind in the bedroom didn't fit properly and let lots of light in! The garden was fine for the children though, but the flies were awful and there was a flying ants nest in the boiler cupboard which we had to deal with! There were 6 of us staying altogether - 4 adults and 2 children - but if it was at total capacity, it would have been cramped. Needless to say, we wouldn't return. Having said all that, Margaret Daniels was very pleasant and there was a basic Welcome Pack there, so I'm sorry to have to write this report.

  • "A lovely break."

The house was a pleasure to stay in. We enjoyed the terrace, watching the house martens and other birds. Our son loved the chance to explore. Only a couple of issues were experienced, the mattress in the upstairs double was 'very' soft with a lean to one side. We also experienced noisy neighbours during our stay. Loud music from 11.30pm on day 2 of our stay and again from 9.45pm on day 3 of our stay. It didn't last long, maybe 20 minutes, but was heard throughout the property. Overall, we would definitely recommend the property to others and may well be back ourselves next year.

We had a very comfortable stay there. It's spacious, clean and has everything you need. The enclosed garden was great for kids. The location is good too as there are plenty of gorgeous places to visit. If we were to visit that side of uk again would definitely stay there. Thanks

  • "What a wonderful weekend we had in one of the best cottages we’ve stayed at in over 30 years."

Clean, well equipped, comfortable and very pleasant. The place exuded friendliness and the ‘welcome presents’ were extremely generous and thoughtful. It seemed that the owners had thought of everything you might need or ask about. There were eight of us plus a toddler and it was just perfect. Would definitely recommend and intend to stay there again when we next want a short family break in Norfolk.

The property was everything we were expecting. There was also a lovely welcome pack we didn't expect. Hopefully in the future we will have the opportunity to stay again and have more time to explore the area.

There were five of us with two dogs. The garden in huge and allowed the dogs to get rid of excess energy before night time. For some of us this was our second visit to the property so everything was how we expected.

  • "Lovely Cottage."

Gardens are beautiful. Positives: Everything you could think of was supplied by owners. It’s in the middle of nowhere, but only a short drive to places which we liked. Totally secure for kids and dogs. Negatives: Mattresses are not comfy, could do with new mattresses on beds. We used the nursery, and because the house was attached to another, the neighbours were noisy, and could be heard through the baby monitor which interrupted sleep. All in all, a lovely holiday.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at the Old Cart Shed, the location was great for us and there is lots to do within around an hours drive, we enjoyed days out at Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Thetford Forest to name a few."

There is also 2 villages within a 15 minute drive and the location of the cottage is lovely, with beautiful walks on your doorstep. The cottage itself was a little dated and if I’m being picky lacked some storage and we felt the TV needs updating as it’s to small for the room, the beds were also not the most comfortable, but like I said that’s me being picky. On arrival we had a beautiful welcome package, with some lovely treats to enjoy and tips for local days out, the cottage was really clean and well presented and had good amenities, the garden is stunning. We would definitely return and were sad to leave after having such a great time.

The grassed area was perfect for our two dogs and our three children to run and play! The indoor living area was such a good size, we had plenty of room! We arrived to a lovely card and treats, even the dogs got a treat! Clean and well stocked for all that we needed. Thank you, we will highly recommend to our friends. Car is needed but some beautiful local nature walks.

It's very clean and tidy and had everything we could need for a week away. It's off the beaten track so is very quiet. A car is needed to go anywhere and we found every beach was a 40-50 min drive away

  • "We spend 4 nights at the Old Cart Shed over half term in 2020."

It was a last minute booking due to the Covid crisis and provided us with a much needed break. The cottage itself was fantastic, the owners had clearly thought through their cleaning regime and what they could do to keep visitors safe. The instructions provided in the cottage for packing away were very clear and left us with confidence that we were safe there for our break. We had plenty of space, the kitchen was stocked with all kinds of cooking implements and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wishing to get away from it all. In better times it would easily sleep multiple families and would be a brilliant place to get together with friends or family.
