  • "Our second visit and the cottage was as perfect as last time."

Beautiful location, spotlessly clean, excellent facilities, comfy bed - everything you could possibly want from a holiday cottage. Lovely touches on arrival - fresh milk and biscuits. One of our favourite Sykes cottages, can’t wait to return!

  • "Very comfortable and spacious cottage in an idyllic location."

Very quiet and peaceful with everything we needed. We really loved it. A minor point: a few hooks on doors eg in entrance lobby for coats, bedroom for dressing gown would be a good addition and perhaps another slightly larger coffee table.

  • "Our second stay at idyllic Bryn Eiddon and this year with even better weather."

There can surely be fewer better spots for a break right next to the sea. Whistling Sands bay is just half a mile's walk away and usually very quiet and peaceful; we had a barbeque on the beach one teatime and during that time counted five other people across the whole of the bay! We also want to say thanks to the owners for whom nothing is too much trouble. The day before we arrived a storm had damaged the wifi signal and they made sure that an alternative was in place within 24 hours. All in all another wonderful week at a comfortable and beautiful location. Many thanks.

Well equipped with beach items like wind breaks, bodyboards, foldable chairs etc which were used on the beach which is only 9 mins walk away. Well equipped kitchen too! A really enjoyable stay

  • "Such an idyllic location, amazing views from the cottage, beach is less than 10 mins walk."

Cottage itself is what you see on the pictures is what you get - convenient, practical, comfortable, spacious too. Phone network coverage can be poor but broadband is very good so wasn't a concern at all for us. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. This, in fact, exceeded our expectations during our stay so very pleased with that.

  • "Bryn Eiddon is a beautiful gem, the photos and descriptions don’t do it justice."

You know you love a property when you go through the loop of thinking “I will play this down a bit because I don’t want everyone to know this…” But Mair the owner is delightful and deserves the recommendation for all her hard work and investment. We were recuperating from Covid from four weeks previously, and had very little energy, so being just 10 minutes walk from the beach was a Godsend. Some days we’d just curl up and look out at the sea and enjoy the sea views and peace. Our only neighbours were sheep and from the beach you can see that Bryn Eiddon is probably the nearest dwelling. The cottage may not have the obligatory hot tub, but it is high spec imo, from the kitchen fittings and equipment, to the general decor, furniture, and the immaculate bathrooms that include a power shower. The under floor heating and high ceilings all add to the light airiness of the property, yet we always felt warm and cozy. Usually we are always glad to get home from a holiday but this time we said we really missed the cottage and said we would definitely return.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Bryn Eiddon."

The cottage stands alone with no close neighbours and offers fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and to the sea beyond. Inside it is a delight. The living space is generously proportioned with all you need in the fully equipped kitchen/diner area and lovely, comfortable L-shaped sofa in the lounge area with double patio doors leading onto the paved terrace outside from where you can enjoy some spectacular sunsets. There is a large downstairs double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and upstairs a twin bedroom and another shower room. The finish is modern and to a high standard and everywhere was very clean. The property is a stone's throw from Whistling Sands beach, one of the best in the area. All in all a perfect place to relax and base yourself for a visit to this wonderful area. We would definitely stay here again and certainly recommend it to others,

  • "Extremely relaxing holiday in an exceptionally clean and well presented property, comfortable furnishings and a wonderful view from every window!"

Location is perfect if you want to get away from everything, just the wildlife for neighbours, weather wasn’t favourable during our stay, Frances passed by at 70mph and deposited a rather large amount of rain, we could view the waves crashing into the rocks from the patio doors and hear Frances roaring outside but we remained cosy and safe and enjoyed the experience of a constant gale blowing from the sea. Perfect location for walks on the coastal path and a short walk to Whistling Sands before breakfast (when the weather allows). All in all a very enjoyable and highly recommended holiday location if only Sykes could just organise some better weather
