Evenings were spent in front of the fire listening to the wind and rain, making it even more cosy. Lots of coastal walks and home cooking.

  • "Glam Felin is a lovely clean property with good quality furniture, appliances and equipment."

The beds are really comfortable with good quality bedding and the bedrooms have good sized en-suites. Mrs. Fish the owner was very friendly and accommodating as nothing was too much trouble. We needed to contact her on a couple of occasions as the battery for the smoke alarm in the hall needed replacing and the internet went down ( our fault as we had, unknowingly, switched it off at the socket). She promptly came out and sorted them both out for us quite happily.

The main living room with wood burner is a very impressive but comfortable space & the kitchen well equipped. A small welcome pack of biscuits, milk with tea, coffee & sugar was most thoughtful. Careful of the decking when wet as very slippy. A few lightbulbs not present or working, a bit more dusting of cobwebs and the en-suite in the end double was very damp with a faulty loo… kept filling ! But these are only minor issues that can easily be addressed. Highly recommended !

Ideally situated for walking the section of the Llyn from Porth Coleman to Abersoch. As mentioned the cottage is remote, but we enjoyed that, no noise and lovely starry skies! Very well equipped and comfortable.

  • "A lovely spacious cottage, well equipped for a stay away from home."

The two double bedrooms are a great size and the beds are extremely comfortable. The two upstairs bedrooms are really only suitable for children due to the reduced headroom - our two 16 year olds are over 6ft so struggled a bit. The house is brilliantly located for walking and we loved exploring more of the fabulous headland, walking to whistling sands or into Aberdaron. This is the most beautiful, scenic area.

The experience of staying in a remote cottage with stream at bottom of garden was amazing for the grandchildren & adults alike, in such a tranquil setting .... so relaxing. All the rooms downstairs were lovely & spacious for all of us, plus a small dog, & the kitchen/diner was well equipped kitchen too. As mentioned in previous reviews the 2 upstairs single bedrooms have low sloping ceilings, however this was not an issue for our grandchildren.

  • "Lovely holiday at Glan Felin."

The cottage is about 1.5 miles north of Aberdaron down some narrow roads. It is extremely quite and peaceful apart from the sounds of nature. The area below the decking by the stream has been allowed to grow naturally with primroses and white bluebells but also a bit overgrown. Maybe this is deliberate but it could be nicer. The decking would be nice with some plants. It was a bit stark. However it's an ideal place to sit and watch the birds on the feeders. The cottage was well equipped and the heating was good with plenty of hot water. If you are travelling with a pet the garden is not enclosed apart from the decking area.

However it was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. It took us a while to find the property when we arrived in Aberdaron, don’t think we were given any directions. The sat nav only took us to the postcode so were travelling around narrow lanes and had to ask at a house! We have been holidaying in self catering properties for over 40 years now and recently most places provide some sort of welcome pack. (A bottle of milk in the fridge at least. ) Maybe something the owners could possibly consider in the future? The bed was extremely comfortable but the sofas were not. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was clean, plenty of cutlery and crockery, although the cooker getting a little tired. Don’t mean to sound negative, we had a great holiday and hope to visit the area again next year. We didn’t need to contact the owners but knew they were on hand should we have needed to.

Plenty of room for me, my husband, our daughter and her partner and six month old son; and we didn't even use the upstairs two bedrooms! The kitchen is massive and very well appointed with a huge fridge/freezer and all the facilities you would expect for a party of our size. The garden was very relaxing and a perfect sun trap; the stream is a wonderful bonus. The location is excellent for Aberdaron and the south of the Llyn Peninsula.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Glan Felin - 3 adults and one small dog."

We had a week of sunshine so enjoyed some picnic lunches in the garden and in the evenings we made good use of the TV/DVD/Netflix. It is a comfortable and roomy facility downstairs with two large ground floor double and en suite bedrooms. The bedrooms upstairs are geared more towards children with relatively low ceilings and quite steep stairs up to the rooms so ideal family accommodation. There is good wifi access but we had to go outside for a phone signal. The house is along a long, narrow lane but it is only a few miles from beautiful Aberdaron where there are lovely beaches and coastal walks and a couple of dog friendly pubs, cafes, a bakery with cafe, some tourist shops and a spar (closes at 5pm). It was a good base for exploring the area and there is lots of lovely scenery to enjoy. Going in June was great as the beaches were fairly quiet despite the warm weather.

The property was very comfortable and well-equipped. The owners were very helpful when we contacted them shortly after our arrival regarding a problem with the television. This was quickly rectified (Freeview needed re-tuning because, for some unknown reason, neither BBC1 nor BBC2 were available when we got there) With regards to the listing - it is stated that the property is IN Aberdaron. I think it would be fairer to say it was NEAR Aberdaron - it is in a rural/semi-rural location and was a good 15-20 minute walk to the centre of the village. That said, I would happily recommend Glan Felin to family and friends.

Perfect place to unwind! We had a slight problem finding the cottage, not down to location, just our sat nav, phoned Mair who gave us great directions then called us back and directed us all the way to the cottage.
