  • "Great stay here lovely views and close to the village ."

Kitchen lovely and well equipped. All bathrooms spotless . Would book again .

  • "The house itself is very nice and comftable ."

Plenty of hot water and bedrooms and kitchen (once cooker figured out) were great. I would suggest you take your own soap and if there are 8 of you e xra toilet rolls. The absence of a welcome pack explaining how things work etc was disappointing and we felt the outside was misrepresented. It was stated that there was parking for 4 cars but the parking area was shared with the house at the back.We were 4 single people and had 3 cars as did the other people so there were 6 cars which made it awkward especially as the workmen next door had a right of way across. The garden was not enclosed for anyone thinking of taking a dog. The main area of concern was the lack of any information on re cycling I.e on dividing It up and which bin to put it in.On checking the large green bins outside it showed all waste just dumped there including food which certainly went against the grain!

  • "We loved One Dolfor, it was bright, airy, warm and spotless."

Sadly the builders moved in next door and the noise was awful. I contacted Peter and he knew nothing about the building work and kindly let us move into his other property for the rest of our stay which was equally warm and comfortable. My thanks go to Dawn the housekeeper who managed to get us into the second property so quickly and that was a massive task! We had a really lovely week in a lovely part of the world.

  • "One Dolfur is an absolutely beautiful house in a truly stunning location."

Immaculately clean, very stylish interior and facilities. We could not have asked for anything more and we will definitely be returning. We will be recommending One Dolfur to everyone we know. Thank you Ali

  • "Lounge sofas need updating."

Addition of sieve, colonder and pizza cutter in the kitchen would have been appreciated. Apart from these small items everything else was excellent.

It was our second stay there and we absolutely love it. So bright fresh and clean. The beds are so comfortable and is lovely to have en suites in each room. I can highly recommend One Dolfor.

It was very cool in the house during the heatwave. The owner was very informative and the children really enjoyed using the kayak at the property. Thank you so much.

  • "We (two of us) have just had a lovely holiday staying in One Dolfor."

We spent the week walking the coast path from Nefyn to Aberdaron which was absolutely stunning. We highly recommend using the flexi bus. They were brilliant and never let us down. They met us in car parks (near the coast path) and drove us to where we wanted to start walking from and then we walked back to our car. One Dolfor was immaculate. A little disappointed no goody bag was left - no tea bags/coffee/sugar/milk either. This is a first and we stay in a lot of holiday lets. The bed was extremely comfy and the shower was fantastic. Lovely well equipped kitchen. Agree with previous reviews re the lounge which could be better. It was fine for two people, however, you would definitely not get 8 people seated in there. The sofa's were very hard and uncomfortable and need replacing. Also the TV was too small and too high with wires hanging down. The lounge would look much nicer without the white desk in the corner. The house is in a lovely peaceful setting just 8 minutes walk up the hill from the lovely village. We only had one car so parking was fine. Good choice to eat in or take away chippy/cafe's/pub/hotel restaurant and good spar shop. Please don't let the negative comment on the lounge put you off renting One Dolfor as the bedrooms/bathrooms and kitchen were all perfect and as there are tv's in all bedrooms people could spread out. We will keep eye on the property and if the lounge is improved we would definitely return as we were extremely happy with everything else at One Dolfor

  • "This is a lovely cottage where four of us stayed for a long weekend."

It was wet and windy outside as you would expect in November in Wales and it was lovely to return to warm cottage and a log fire. The bedrooms were excellent as was the kitchen dining area where we could cook and talk. (Re a previous comment - There is a microwave in the dual oven) We agree the lounge would be small for eight adults. There is plenty to see and do locally even this time of year and the leaflets in the cottage were helpful. We were lucky to meet the owner who was very helpful showing us round but all the pre visit instructions would have got us sorted. Thank you One Dolfor.

  • "Aberdaron is a lovely village in a beautiful area of Wales."

The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The bedrooms and kitchen/diner are much bigger than the photos suggest. The lounge is a little on the small size for eight, but the weather was so nice we only went in there for some shade and to cool down. Thank you for letting us share your property. It was the perfect remedy for our daughters and families, and us, after the stress of COVID!

  • "A wonderful dormer bungalow with all mod-cons in the charming village of Aberdaron."

The beds are really comfortable and the en-suites spotless. The kitchen has modern appliances and is a very pleasant place to enjoy your meals. We were a little surprised to find there was no microwave but we managed OK with the ovens and hob. There is a steep hill down into the village and ticketed parking in the National Trust car park (if you cannot find an empty space elsewhere). Good selection of places to eat and have a drink. Some spectacular views looking down over the bay and good walks. Would definitely go/stay there again.

  • "Dolfor was fresh, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view and nice amenities."

A couple of things...the tumble dryer was out of service (it is in the listing as available to use), and the owner had lovely gardens and had just planted lots of pots but only had a watering can available-a hose would have been less time consuming. I realise we weren’t obligated to water, but felt the flowers and plants would’ve died as there was no rain. Recycling was cryptic, as there were 5 categories for separation, yet only 3 bins. Labels would’ve helped. A few unbreakable glasses would’ve been nice for alfresco dining. Minor issues that in no significant way detracted from the property or enjoyment of our stay.

  • "Loved the house apart from the lounge area which was a bit of a disappointment."

Found having desk/office chair in there very strange. Would have been lovely with better tv and dvd and comfier sofas. Downstairs bathroom not good, floor wet for hours after showering. Everything else spot on and would return. Beautiful area.

  • "We loved our stay at 1 Dolfor."

The standard of equipment and furnishings was excellent. It was especially good for a senior member of our family who loved the adapted shower and wetroom. We liked the outside patio area and we're able to have a barbeque as the weather was great. With sea views, it was the most comfortable place we have ever stayed in as a family.
