    Thank you for your feedback. We work hard to ensure guests enjoy their stay and we always endeavour to address any specific issues raised. The pool is kept to the highest standards possible, and it is regularly vacuumed and the chemical/chlorine levels checked. It is an outdoor pool, however, and will have leaves, twigs etc in the bottom of the pool. We would have been happy to send the pool technician round in the week if we had been advised that you were not happy with it. As it happens, he found no such problems when he attended at the end of the week. The garden is a cottage style garden, which can be wild in places, but we do accept what is said about the paved and gravelled areas. The gardening contractors have now adjusted their work schedule accordingly, and the weeds have been cleared from these areas. The Aga was fixed on the first evening as soon as we were notified and there was nothing we could have done to foresee the problem that arose. A big effort was made to get it working and compensation for the lack of facilities was made and accepted in this regard. - Sykes owner relations

A superb, detached, 18th century property with an outdoor heated swimming pool, set in the scattered hamlet of Rhoshirwaun, less than 4 miles from the delightful coastal village of Aberdaron on the popular Llyn Peninsula.

There is also a large second kitchen with utility and a welcoming sitting room with sumptuous leather sofas and a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner.

Throughout this Aberdaron cottage you will find features including exposed stonework, original panelled walls, tiled floors and a vaulted, oak beamed ceiling in the master bedroom, which also boasts an en-suite WC with basin and bidet plus a double sofa bed.

The main part of this Aberdaron cottage has three other first-floor bedrooms plus a ground floor twin room with feature fireplace.

A bright and airy conservatory-style passage leads through to the wing of this impressive holiday home, where you will find a study area with desk leading to a second sitting room with patio doors and a spiral staircase taking you to two further well-appointed bedrooms with a shared bathroom.

Outside, the house comes alive, with over an acre of superb mature gardens, numerous specimen trees and a babbling brook meandering through the garden, which is crossed by paths and bridges.

To the rear, set in absolute privacy, guests can enjoy a swim in the 36-meter-long outdoor pool (May Half term (Whitsun) - End of Sept).

Why not just relax and sunbathe on one of the surrounding terraces whilst the kids splash and swim to their hearts content?

Numerous outbuildings offer changing facilities, toilets and storage for pool inflatables, bikes or watercraft.

Nearby you will find a welcoming village pub and just four miles away is Whistling Sands National Trust beach, regarded as one of the finest in North Wales, and Hell's Mouth, renowned far and wide as one of the best surfing beaches in the UK.

The surrounding area has a large number of protected sites including Cors Geirch National Nature Reserve, the National Heritage Coastline, which boasts fine walks, much of which, along with the surrounding hills, have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Popular Abersoch, is just 9 miles away and offers plenty of shops and a fine range of restaurants, cafes and pubs, as well as, two first class beaches, whilst Snowdonia National Park is situated slightly further away.

The seaside village of Aberdaron is peacefully situated around two streams, and facing the sea. Straggling up the hills are the buildings that give Aberdaron its character; the lime-washed fishermen's cottages, the cafes, shops, and hotels, and the church of St Hywyn. On each side of the river's mouth is the beach for walking and playing on, and a promenade where you can watch the sailing boats and regattas in the bay. There is also a National Trust visitor centre and car park. The popular resorts of Pwllheli and Abersoch are within easy reach.
