This small Welsh village is situated on the River Elwy, some five miles from the beautiful North Wales coastline and playing host to a few handy amenities, including a Post Office and two pubs. The seaside town of Abergele is within easy reach and is renowned for the impressive Gwrych Castle, which overlooks the town, along with its enormous sandy beach. Choose to ride the coastal cycle path, which runs along the Abergele seafront, while the Offa's Dyke pathway, the Clwydian Hill Range and Betws-y-Coed are all close by. The Victorian town of Llandudno makes a superb day out, with its two waterfronts, abundant shops, pubs and restaurants, and its two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme. Stroll along the golden sand at the North Shore, or find the quieter West Shore more to your liking, with its sublime views towards Anglesey.
