  • "Just got back from a beautiful week at Gorsebank - the weather was terrible, but it simply didn’t matter here."

We had everything we needed from arrival. The owner had really thought about what you would need and it was supplied. I’m just disappointed I didn’t get to the Bara Brith before my brother did. The house was beautifully maintained, don’t normally venture into a hot tub- but this one was exceptionally cleaned and well looked after. The view from the property was majestic. Looking forward to our return.

  • "Fantastic location for a holiday cottage- panoramic views of the Snowdonia National Park."

We spent hours sat on the balcony watching tides come in and out, and watching harbour life. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Abersoch offered lots of good dining opportunities as well as great coastal walks.

Thanks it was a pleasure to have you stay at our property. We are pleased you enjoyed the views from the balcony. We look forward to welcoming you back! Property Owner

  • "The location and views were stunning however car parking is very limited with space for 2 cars only, one of which is in a garage and another immediately in front of it."

We had to pay £45 per night for overnight parking at the golf club as there are parking restrictions everywhere else. Also we have been charged over £200 for a 1cm damage to the underside of the hot tub cover! No evidence to prove it was us and nothing apparently we can do about it which has totally spoiled our holiday experience.

Thank you for taking the time to write some feedback following your stay at Gorse Bank. We value our guests opinions to monitor the quality of our holiday properties. I'm sorry that you chose to park your car at a car park charging an inflated overnight rate, other car parking is available free of charge within the village. We believe that our web description is accurate, there is off-road parking for 2 large or 3 small vehicles. There is potentially room for 4 small vehicles when parking correctly within the garage.. The good housekeeping bond is a security bond to prevent owners being left with excessive bills following guest damage. At Gorse Bank the hot tub technician attends to the hot tub after each guest in preparation for the next guests. We contacted you three times to discuss the damage which was reported following your check-out, providing you with photos of the 25cm tear in the lid. We are always happy to discuss any issues which guests or owners may have, we endeavour to reach acceptable and fair solutions for all parties involved. As you chose not to respond, you were charged 65% of the total cost which the owner was facing to replace the damaged lid following it being misused. The owner thought that this was very reasonable. Thorough maintenance of the high quality furnishings and amenities is vital to ensure that guests continue to enjoy this stunning property. This is not at the cost of our guests. About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
