    “The apartment is very tired and needs some maintenance, the bedrooms were cold and damp.”

    The tap constantly dripping in the bathroom & kitchen, dirty carpets & bathroom cupboards, the first bathroom is desperate for refurbishment, the furniture in the lounge is all sunken and smells. The apartment is old and in desperate need of refurbishment.

The apartment is old and in desperate need of refurbishment. We left a day earlier as we were so uncomfortable. The location is amazing and the grounds are naturally beautiful, access to the beach and set back behind the town we couldn’t ask for a better location.

Haulfryn House Apartments

Two comfortable seaside apartments set in an excellent position in Abersoch, with access to a private path leading directly down to the sea at stunning Abersoch Main Beach. Each with their own private entry, these homely apartments form part of a beautiful Grade II listed stone house, which sits amongst three acres of sub-tropical Italianate gardens with terraces of exotic palm trees, eucalyptus, mimosa and rose gardens. Superbly situated, the two properties lie tucked away in a quiet and tranquil location, yet are within just a two minute stroll of Abersoch village with its pretty harbour, array of shops and restaurants. Having a Southeast-facing aspect, each apartment enjoys panoramic sea views across the sandy dunes, Abersoch moorings, St Tudwal’s Island and Cardigan Bay, stretching as far as Cader Idris and Criccieth and Harlech Castles. Within the gardens you’ll find a hard tennis court, a croquet lawn and badminton net. Barbecue equipment is also available for alfresco feasts, either on the sun patio, or the village side gardens. The grounds are a delight to wander through, with many secluded areas where you can hide yourself away and get lost in a book or simply sit back and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. Guests will also find a kitchen where you can prepare family meals and a cosy attached galley dining room with atrium-style roof, where you can settle together for dinner after a busy day on the beach.

The delightful sitting room comes with an original open fireplace and beautiful arched French windows opening onto the patio, where you’ll find ample outdoor seating and wonderful views across the gardens towards the sand dunes, the sea and even the mountains beyond.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
