  • "Spent two weeks here in between properties and just chilled out a bit after a stressful 6 months."

The apartment is clean, cosy and equipped with everything you will need for a week or two. The surroundings are peaceful and the Blue Bell Inn, literally 3 minutes walk, is a massive bonus having just been voted the local CAMRA cider pub of the year. A proper pub but only rolls available other than pizza night on Thursdays from Bonnis and a new fish and chip van arring evey other Friday soon. 20 minutes walk to Britannia Inn which has a full menu. Just a slight negative....the mobile reception (on O2) is non existent and the WiFi can be temperamental which was a bit stressful when trying to do online payments when your bank sends you a OTP which you receive the next day when you go to town!! And finally.....thanks Lynn.....loved the flapjacks!!!!

What a delight to find everything working and of high quality, unlike so many holiday places, and in a marvellous location with peace and great views, yet only minutes from the dual carriageway. The owners were helpful and kind, and respectful of privacy. Yet left a very nice selection of goodies as a welcome. One of the few places I’ve stayed that I’d seriously consider returning to. Thank you!

Apartment was well laid out and furnished with everything you could need. Lots of opening windows to keep the room cool in hot weather. Sofa and bed were really comfortable. Loved watching the sheep in the evening out of the window. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It was absolutely lovely to stay here. The hosts made sure that everything we needed on our first day was thoughtfully and artistically done, which lessened the stress of settling in. The apartment was in a charming area and was elegant and cosy. There were nearby places for walks and a short car journey to Chester and Mold. • "This is a really lovely place to stay."

It doesn’t appear to be very old (so everything is in good condition) and it has been very thoughtfully and tastefully done. Everything was very welcoming and everything anyone could want was supplied. I didn’t really understand how the multitude of bins worked (and they were tiny). Other than that it’s a really great place to stay and I would recommend it anyone and I would definitely come back.

The cottage was in a great location and very well-equipped for our stay. The Welsh cakes and presse was a lovely touch! We would certainly consider staying again when we visit the area. This bit not necessarily for publication... Only quibble (& this is clearly down to personal preference) was that we found the mattress rather hard, but that didn't detract from our stay.

Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated. Unfortunately the mattresses are brand new but we expect them to soften a little with use. Property Owner

Watch out for the sheep though as they wander all over the roads It has good quality furniture, a really comfy bed, and everything else you’re likely to need is provided. We found lots to see and do during our few days stay. We visited tFlint castle and had a walk down the side of the estuary. Would also recommend a visit to Talacre beach and Ayr point, We loved our stay there and plan to go back sometime with our bikes so we can explore more. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break away. We would have preferred an earlier check in time than 5 pm, maybe an earlier check out would allow for this.
