“The facilities in the cottage were fantastic.”

Jess and Jane are great hosts, very contactable, friendly and helpful. The log fire is great.

The property

This stone-built, semi-detached cottage has been beautifully renovated to provide homely accommodation within the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Surrounded by the wonders of Snowdonia, this is an ideal base for a couple looking to escape among the area's rural splendour.

The property is the former home of well-known author, philosopher and poet, John Cowper Powys, who spent the last nine years of his life here.

A woodburning stove set in a stunning Inglenook fireplace provides added warmth when watching your favourite shows on the Smart TV.

Step up into the kitchen, which adopts a more modern design and plays host to a useful range of fixtures and fittings for your convenience.

Climb the stairs to reach the first floor, where you will first discover a glistening family bathroom presented in immaculate white, with the option of a shower over the bath.

A well-presented double bedroom completes the interior of the property, which looks out across the dramatic mountains, making up the surrounding skyline.

There is a small enclosed courtyard accessed from the kitchen and rear of the property, perfect for securely storing bikes.

Stroll into Blaenau Ffestiniog with ease from here, hosting a wide range of high-quality spots to enjoy some shopping, wining and dining at your leisure.
