Any problems he was always quick to respond to via txt / mobile or in person Kitchen could do with a few additions e.g baking tray and a couple of microwave usable dishes and kitchen knives could do witha bit of a sharpen but nothing too bad to spoil a holiday and definitely not a complaint and other than that everything was great. Great list of places to see left, beds comfortable, wifi reception great better than we have at home. Secure storage out back for bikes if you bring then and enclosed back garden for young kids or dogs. Friendly little town, plenty of walks for the walker in you, and for dogs. Not too far from some great beaches, Snowdonia, Caernavan Weldh Highland Railway and Anglesea. Will definetely be coming back sometime during the summer time to go visting some of these places. Highly recommended

The property

A traditional mid-terrace cottage in a great central location in the popular mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

This delightful cottage is ideal for a couple, small family or two friends looking for a base from which to explore this lovely part of North Wales.

Full of charm and character with exposed beams in the sitting room, offering cosy and homely accommodation, this pretty cottage has two tastefully-styled bedrooms, a king-size and a single, and a bathroom upstairs.

Downstairs a modern, light and well-appointed kitchen with dining area and patio doors, which lead to a lovely outside decked area, is an ideal place for that early morning cup of coffee.

The welcoming sitting room with two comfy sofas and a lovely warming electric woodburning-effect fire, is perfect to relax in front of after an exciting day spent on the mountains, exploring the old quarries, hidden lakes and natural waterfalls.

Outside, the rear decked patio area has furniture, so you can make the most of warm summer evenings and enjoy some alfresco dining or simply relax with a glass of something cold after a day walking on the mountains.

Blaenau Ffestiniog itself has good amenities with a selection of independent shops, pubs, eating establishments and tea rooms all within a five minute walk, and the Fish Restaurant and Take Away is definitely worth a visit!

There is superb access to Snowdonia from here with an abundance of walks and cycling trails, Antur Stiniog’s downhill mountain bike centre is less than a mile away and the largest mountain bike trail centre in Wales, Coed-y-Brenin, just a twenty minute’ s drive.

Blaenau Ffestiniog also hosts Zip World Titan and Zip World Caverns and Bounce Below, all located at Llechwedd Slate Caverns.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog is only a short drive away, or for something a little more relaxing take the train there!

The world-famous Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam railway, will take you through some of the most spectacular Snowdonia scenery.

The Italianate village of Portmeirion is definitely worth a visit and there are miles and miles of sandy beaches all within easy reach.
