  • "Just come back from staying 4 days in this lovely cottage."

Very clean and had everything we needed. The instruction/information pack left by the owner was fantastic. Ideal cottage to use as a base, if exploring the surrounding area. Our only feedback, was when taking our dog out at night to go to the toilet, the back garden steps were narrow and steep, with no lighting or handrail. Apart from that, we would definitely stay there again, and recommend to family and friends.

  • "This little cottage was perfect for our stay."

It was cosy, clean & fully equipped for our needs. There were plenty of fresh clean towels, toilet rolls, hand soap, sanitiser, washing up liquid & even some tea/ coffee & sugar sachets to get us started. Plenty of books & dvds & Now tv for those quiet days in. The cottage did get a bit chilly in the morning & evening but warms up very quickly & stays warm when you put the fire or heating on for 10 mins. The co op/ Morriston & chip shop to name a few are within walking distance as is the train station. Or Porthmadog where you will find a large tesco is only 20 minite drive.. we spent our week in Bleanau alternating between days out & staying in & it was perfect. Can't thank Helen enough for letting us stay in your home.

House is in the middle of run down properties in a run down village. The house smells of dog and damp , carpet is stained and dirty, garden is a death trap as too is walking out the front door onto the main road. We were offered £40 discount off of another £350 rental from syke cottages which is no use as we will not use this company again.

Unfortunately I couldn't arrange a fix or new oven for this booking at such short notice and at this particular time of year. I could only inform the guests going in, as soon as I found out about the issue. Although they said they could work around it, I do appreciate the inconvenience of the whole situation for them. A new oven is being installed ASAP and before we open for further bookings. Property Owner

Helen the owner was extremely helpful especially regarding the concerns regarding petrol and kept me up to date about the situation. The town itself is sadly tired in that several shops and restaurants closed down. We went in two of the local pubs - the Y Mandi just across the road was very nice and welcoming. It doesn’t serve food but apparently they will be doing this in the future. The cottage is a very good base to get out and about. We visited Coed and Harlech castle which are well worth a visit. Porthmadog is the nearest largest town for more shops. Would definitely stay in the cottage again.

The cottage is the sweetest, cosiest place and we would definitely recommend it. It was spotlessly clean - not even a tiny trace of dog which can be a problem in dog friendly cottages and for this reason we would normally avoid them. We had one day where, due to Storm Francis, we were unable to leave the cottage but we still had a relaxing day watching TV and cooking in the well equipped kitchen. My daughter loved having g a TV in her room! There is a small car park nearby which we always managed to find a spot in. People do park selfishly though e.g. too close so it’s worth looking for an alternative. It might be a short walk but you can always find somewhere. The area is lovely - we visited the Slate Mine, Portmeirion, the Bryn Arms, Swallow Falls and would recommend them all.
