The owner was very helpful and provided an extensive folder about the cottage’s facilities and things to do in the surrounding area. It was an ideal base for discovering the area of Snowdonia. Would highly recommend to others.

  • "Cottage was very cosy only fault being informed at 19."

15 the night before we were going that the oven was not working properly

Unfortunately I couldn't arrange a fix or new oven for this booking at such short notice and at this particular time of year. I could only inform the guests going in, as soon as I found out about the issue. Although they said they could work around it, I do appreciate the inconvenience of the whole situation for them. A new oven is being installed ASAP and before we open for further bookings. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was lovely … so comfortable and cosy, and very clean."

Helen the owner was extremely helpful especially regarding the concerns regarding petrol and kept me up to date about the situation. The town itself is sadly tired in that several shops and restaurants closed down. We went in two of the local pubs - the Y Mandi just across the road was very nice and welcoming. It doesn’t serve food but apparently they will be doing this in the future. The cottage is a very good base to get out and about. We visited Coed and Harlech castle which are well worth a visit. Porthmadog is the nearest largest town for more shops. Would definitely stay in the cottage again.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage."

Excellent base for the trips we made. One day into Bangor & a walk on the pier followed by Beaumaris Castle, LlanfairPG & the lovely Rhosneigr. Another day Betws-y- coed in the morning & Harlech castle in the afternoon.

  • "We loved staying in this little miner's cottage which had everything we needed for a brilliant holiday."

The patio and terrace gardens were lovely to sit in and the cottage was very comfortable. The wifi was excellent and parking in the nearby car park was fine, there was always space. The cottage is ideally situated in Blaenau Ffestiniog with lots of attractions within easy reach. The surrounding countryside is amazing if you enjoy walking and Zip World is just up the road if you want an adventure to remember!! There is an excellent CO-OP in the village which has a good range of products. Snowdonia is beautiful and full of friendly folk, we can't wait to go back there.

  • "This is a lovely little mining cottage, tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable."

The central heating is on a timer but we were lucky with the weather so warm enough. The garden can be a bit tricky with steps up to it but once up there the views are amazing. It is on a main road so you do get traffic noise early in the morning. Zipworld is within walking distance and the village itself is well placed to explore the area.

The cottage was so cosy and had everything you could want for a self catering break. The garden is a little tricky to get to if youre less able but it was lovely to sit up there and enjoy the afternoon sun with a cake and coffee. The cottage is on a road without a pavement on that side of road so also tricky getting across the road for less abled but we soon got used to it.. Great communication from host and easy check in..Will def return as its a little gem and great for exploring north wales area

  • "The cottage was absolutely lovely with everything you need for us however I do not feel this is suitable for a stay with a dog due to the garden."

The high level garden is impossible at night. We struggled finding local things to do, more info would be useful. The info book is too big a crib sheet would be very useful for the basics.

  • "We booked this trip quite late due to the Coronavirus situation."

The cottage is the sweetest, cosiest place and we would definitely recommend it. It was spotlessly clean - not even a tiny trace of dog which can be a problem in dog friendly cottages and for this reason we would normally avoid them. We had one day where, due to Storm Francis, we were unable to leave the cottage but we still had a relaxing day watching TV and cooking in the well equipped kitchen. My daughter loved having g a TV in her room! There is a small car park nearby which we always managed to find a spot in. People do park selfishly though e.g. too close so it’s worth looking for an alternative. It might be a short walk but you can always find somewhere. The area is lovely - we visited the Slate Mine, Portmeirion, the Bryn Arms, Swallow Falls and would recommend them all.

  • "Great little cottage close to Snowdonia national park."

Well equipped and comfortable furniture. Pub close by, 2 min walk and center of town only five min walk. Parking was in a nearby free carpark that could be full but I never didn't manage to get a space. Lots of attractions nearby if you like the active lifestyle but the Cottage was great just sit back and chill out in.
