The property

This delightful, mid-terrace cottage is situated in the centre of the historic slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

This stone cottage provides a wonderful base for exploring the area with its cycle paths, walks, rivers and waterfalls, it's perfect for a couple, friends or a family who love the outdoors.

Sympathetically refurbished and renovated to a high standard, this charming cottage is lovingly maintained and well-presented.

Boasting some lovely features, such as slate flooring and traditional style radiators, it offers a warming place to stay.

The light and bright interior creates a wonderful ambience and a relaxing atmosphere.

A cosy sitting room welcomes you, with a large corner sofa providing seating for everyone and a wonderful fireplace housing an electric woodburning effect stove, perfect for those chilly evenings in front of the TV watching a favourite film.

A cosy dining area is great for a romantic meal or family breakfast together.

Upstairs there is a well-appointed bathroom and two stylish bedrooms, the main bedroom boasting a decorative cast iron fireplace and a pleasant outlook over rooftops and encompassing craggy scenery.

Just across from the cottage is Cellb, which is situated in the old county police station.

This is a cosy café/bar and restaurant with seating in the old courthouse.

Underneath there is a small screen cinema which seats 50 people.

A short stroll from the cottage and you are in the town centre, offering a variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs and eateries.

The famous Ffestiniog-Porthmadog Steam Railway starts its journey less than a 10 minute walk away, and for the more adventurous of you there is ZipWorld Titan, Zip Caverns and Bounce Below.

The coastal towns of Harlech and Criccieth, with their medieval castles, wonderful sandy beaches and hidden coves, and the Italianate village and gardens of Portmeirion are all reached in just 30 minutes.

With Snowdonia on the doorstep, and Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula easily reached, this is a perfect Blaenau Ffestiniog cottage for all to enjoy, whatever the time of year.

The fascinating old slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is situated in a superb position for exploring the Snowdonia National Park. There is a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. The main local attractions include Zip World Slate caverns, the longest zip line in Europe and fastest in the world, this is a great underground adventure. The slate mines - where visitors can take enthralling underground trips to see mining as it was done in days gone by - and the famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog mountain railway which runs for 13 miles through the Snowdonia National Park to the harbour town of Porthmadog. Nearby is Portmeirion village, famous for its architecture and the film set of the cult TV series The Prisoner, plus local beaches, suitable for children, are within easy driving distance.
