The property

A well-appointed end of terrace cottage, tucked away from busy passing traffic, enjoying a quiet location, close to the historic slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

Providing the perfect base for exploring the wild and rugged landscapes and stunning scenery of North Wales Moelwyn Cottage will suit couples and friends, a small family, keen walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.

This lovely rustic cottage has a modern and contemporary interior and is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout whilst retaining character and charm.

Having undergone a comprehensive scheme of refurbishment, the cottage is well-presented and maintained with some wonderful eye catching detail throughout, muted colours and lovely soft fabrics, warm lighting and even an integrated Bluetooth speaker system.

The sitting room is spacious with comfy sofas and a warming electric wood burning effect stove and provides a great place for everyone to sit, chat and relax after a busy day walking and exploring.

The well-equipped kitchen caters for all your needs with a comfy dining area to enjoy a quick breakfast before heading out for the day or a family meal together in the evening.

The shower room is located on the ground floor and is very well-appointed and stylish with a walk in shower, basin and WC.

Upstairs are three bedrooms with high headboards, accents walls, soft lighting and comfy beds, ensuring a good nights sleep.

Outside, there is parking for one car and a small gravelled seating area to the side provides somewhere to enjoy the sun from early afternoon, moving to the front of the cottage where there is additional seating to enjoy a glass of something on a Summers evenings after a day of exploring.

Local shops, restaurants, pubs and even a cinema are all less than a mile away and there are some fantastic walks from the doorstep with great access to Snowdonia which offers more wonderful walking opportunities and mountain bike tracks to explore.

Blaenau Ffestiniog is home to a host of adrenaline-fuelled activities at Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Zip World Titan (the largest zip zone in Europe), Zip World Caverns and Bounce Below (deep mine zip wires and the largest underground system of trampolines in the world!) are all located here.

For something a little less energetic, the well-known Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam railway is also close by and will be loved by all.

A little further afield, why not visit the Italian village and gardens of Portmeirion, together with historic castles and sandy beaches all within a 20 minute drive away.

This charming cottage is ideally placed and provides a great base for a holiday or short break anytime of the year.

Porthmadog 11 miles.

The fascinating old slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is situated in a superb position for exploring the Snowdonia National Park. There is a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. The main local attractions include Zip World Slate caverns, the longest zip line in Europe and fastest in the world, this is a great underground adventure. The slate mines - where visitors can take enthralling underground trips to see mining as it was done in days gone by - and the famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog mountain railway which runs for 13 miles through the Snowdonia National Park to the harbour town of Porthmadog. Nearby is Portmeirion village, famous for its architecture and the film set of the cult TV series The Prisoner, plus local beaches, suitable for children, are within easy driving distance.
