  • "We stayed at The Old Post Office at the end of January for a week and what a fab time we had."

We have stayed in Blaenau several times and just love the Village hence why we came back. There were 4 Adults and 2 small dogs so needed a place of size and The Old Post Office fit the bill perfectly. Prior to arrival, the hosts contacted us with plenty of information and also arranged a supply of fire wood to be there ready. Check in was easy and the property was beautiful. We found the property to be warm, spacious and clean. We had contact from the hosts during our stay and would like to thank them for going above and beyond for us. Perfect location; just a few minutes walk to the shops but just 1 minute walk to Y MANOD pub...cracking pub, we spent a significant amount of time in here and we're made to feel very welcome. We would certainly stay here again!

If you are lucky enough (as we were) to have good weather then there are 2 nice patio areas with great views across the valley.

  • "Excellent property."

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the quirky house. Bigger inside than appears on photos. Very well equipped kitchen if you like to cook fresh, we slept well in the very comfy beds, showers are great, and superb views from the top tier of garden. Even catered for our 17 year old who loves relaxing watching Netflix after a day out exploring. An unexpected little find. Location is great like anywhere in Snowdonia. Parking is mostly not available outside so we parked across the road on Maes Y Plas and we could still see our car. Wasn't the issue we thought it might be. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

  • "Nice cottage with good facilities, only main issue is parking."

You can park outside the house (subject to availability) however its extremely tight for other cars to get past. I would rate the cottage as satisfactory, based on cleanliness and also be aware that the garden is entered through a bedroom, however you can also gain access to the garden from the lower level, but this is via steep external steps that can be slippery.

As a location it is an excellent base for us to travel around Snowdonia. The only blemish was a slight musty feeling in the cottage, we put this down to it being so well insulated that it was hard the for steam from showers etc to escape but overall an excellent cottage and we would definitely recommend you book

The garden was beautiful, it is on 3 tiers, stunning views. Great walking base. The bedding was of good quality as were the towels. Nice touches were left for our arrival. Chocolate on the bed. Shampoo and body wash in the bath room. Tea and coffee sugar and milk (red top) with welsh cakes and a bottle of fizz. I stayed in the double bedroom that had a door that opened in the garden.
