  • "We have really enjoyed the stay, it was lovely place for a family Christmas with a fireplace and big table in the kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need."

Beds were comfortable. Owners put the Christmas tree for us which was lovely gesture. The only recommendation we would have it’s to put some lights on the drive on the entrance to the property as it’s very dark. We used torches when walking at evening. Overall nice place and we would recommend for bookings.

Pleasant house, lovely and clean. The boot room/hall was a great space for bags and boots and stuff .In two of the bedrooms the hanging rails /clothed rails were the best I've seen and much preferred to wardrobes. Liked the access and view from the kitchen door to eating area surrounded by garden. Would have welcomed less fence (it was only wire) but a clearer view to the river would have been tops. The suggested (instructed) access to the property was challenging for a vehicle with low ground clearance but speaking with owner there was another entrance to the property that we could use and that was fine. A really good stay.

  • "Beautiful cottage in a great location with fantastic views of the river, the gardens are beautifully maintained."

There definitely is a cost of living crisis no welcome pack (cake or milk), unlike all the other cottages we've stayed in. We like to cook but found some of kitchen utensils need reviewing, lack of standard cutlery, the potato peeler is rusty, spatula handle unsafe as it comes off, apart from the main oven tray there were no additional baking trays (only pyrex dishes) no wire grill mesh, pans that have been well used to say the least and mugs that have old chips in, would have given it 5 if better equipped. On the plus side only a 10 minute walk into Betws-y-coed but make sure you take some change with you as all the public toilets we came across were 30p to use. As a central location for some of the most beautiful beaches and scenery you will not be disappointed, we are definitely missing the views and sound of the river.

In such a beautiful location and we were spoiled with lovely weather which just added to the experience even more. A lovely walk into Bewtsy from the cottage even though the suspension bridge is temporarily closed, the walk over Waterloo bridge is not as far as we expected. Had some lovely food at Waterloo hotel and our favourite y-stablau at the Royal Oak. I cannot recommend the food enough there. The cottage has everything you need and was so peaceful sitting in the garden and viewing the river. Pure heaven. The owners were lovely and couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a wonderful stay. You won’t be disappointed with staying here. The only downside was having to go home and eating too much food of course

Booked Beaver Grove cottage after looking at lots of possibilities but chose this [place due to the look of the place and the location to the town it's self. It's just a short walk of about 12 mins over Sappers suspension footbridge into the station area, head towards the trains and there is a pedestrian foot bridge over the tracks to the town centre. Here you will find a great selection of pubs, restaurants and shops to keep you entertained. Beaver Grove is set in the grounds of another rental property which share the gardens and surrounding grounds. The gardens are not secure to let dogs wander around unsupervised but this was not a problem for our two labs. The cottage is of tiled floor down stairs with a carpeted front room. As it was winter the boot room/front hall way was a god send to get changed out of wet muddy clothes and the wood burner in the lounge was kept well stocked. Dogs are not permitted upstairs which again was not a problem for us, though the dogs were not impressed. There is an external shed for bike storage and you will have to bring your own padlocks to secure the bikes/door though there is nothing to padlock the bikes to inside the shed and the door is very old with a very old chain. I personally locked all the bikes together and to the cycle rack in the shed and was happy with that. Plenty of cycling in the area and the old Marin track just a short ride up the road for a nostalgic MTB ride. We really enjoyed our stay and had a great time riding, walking, running, Zip worlding and eating out. Please remember that once it get dark at Beaver Grove, there are no street lighting till you get to the town as such, so remember torches for evening walks back home from the pub/restaurant or to take dogs out before bed. Great place to stay, will be back.

The cottage was closer to the road / Betws-Y-Coed than we expected but that turned out to be pretty convenient (and the road noise was really not bad and therefore not a problem at all). The livingroom was comfy, the kitchen well stocked (although I'd suggest a bit more cutlery and possibly some larger pots and pans) and upstairs the bedrooms and bathroom were clean and well presented. I would certainly recommend this to anybody who is looking for a good central location to explore North Wales / Snowdonia: there's so much to discover within a 30 minute drive from Betws, whichever direction you go in you'll find something wonderful.
