    My son who loves trains loved the train museum and shop. We all liked being so close to the shops and cafes while still being so quiet. Unfortunately due to rain we were unable to walk as much as we would have liked but found plenty to do locally with two high school children. The parking was close enough not to be a problem. We had a supermarket food delivery just after we arrived and were able to top up at the local shops as needed. We all really enjoyed our stay.

  • "The Railway Cottage is very specious and located at a very good spot in Betws-y-Coed (a good place to be!"

    ). The train passes really close to the cottage but as the train only runs 6 times a day (forward/backward) it only ads to the atmosphere we expected with a railway cottage.

  • "For a train fanatic family the location of the cottage was perfect."

    Our 3 year old was in ecstasy, Mainline train drivers waved and tooted at him every day. In a lovely setting with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Watching the rabbits every morning was an unexpected bonus.

A cosy end-terrace cottage just moments from the amenities of the popular village of Betws-y-Coed in the heart of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.

This cottage has been decorated and furnished with care and attention to offer well-equipped, quality accommodation in a superb location for all Betws-y-Coed has to offer.

There is a spacious living area with doors to the patio, ideal for an evening drink, three comfortable bedrooms and even a separate lawned garden, just a few yards away.

The village amenities are a few minutes' walk, including shops, pubs and tea rooms, while the Tree Top Adventure High Ropes Course is within walking distance.

The pretty market town of Llanrwst is 4 miles away and offers a leisure centre with swimming pool.

Just a few minutes north is the Marin Mountain Bike Trail, while the whole area is superb for walking and climbing.

The coast, mountains, NT properties and much more can all be reached from this cottage, which makes a superb base all year round.

Betws-y-Coed, known as the Gateway to Snowdonia, is North Wales' most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges.
