    Mr Van Den Aardweg

“The house is lovely and the town is great.”

Just a couple of things that we did not expect with regards to the amenities. We expected that in a self catering house we would get a sponge or cloth to wash dishes with and unfortunately we had to go purchase our own. We also only received 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people for 3 nights which does not seem like a lot.

The view from the backyard was spectacular and the town is quite, quaint and perfectly located.

The property

A delightful, mid-terrace, stone-built Llan Ffestiniog cottage, lovingly restored and well maintained, in this quiet village.

There is a large king-size bedroom in this Llan Ffestiniog cottage, as well as a small double bedroom.

Downstairs, the sitting room benefits from underfloor heating and a woodburner set in an inglenook fireplace, with exposed beams and exposed stone chimney breast adding to the character of this Llan Ffestiniog cottage.

The small kitchen is basic but well equipped and will provide everything you need for a fantastic break at this Llan Ffestiniog cottage.

There is a good sized, well-kept mature garden with lawns and three seating areas, where you can sit and enjoy the views across the countryside whilst relaxing after a long country walk on the Manod Mawr mountain.

The popular town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is just 3 miles away, famed for its slate quarry and narrow gauge steam railway, which links it with the seaside town of Porthmadog, 13.5 miles away, with its superb Blue Flag beach at Black Rock Sands.

The attractions of Betws-y-Coed, Portmeirion and Bodnant Gardens, and the castles of Caernarfon and Harlech are all within easy reach.

A cosy Llan Ffestiniog cottage ideal for walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers at any time of year.
