The property

Denbigh 5.3 miles.

Standing in 30 acres of beautiful grounds in the village of Bodfari at the foot of the Clwydian Hill Range, is this superb, barn conversion, The Big Barn.

Presented to a high-end standard and designed with comfort in mind, this luxury retreat welcomes families or groups of friends eager to break away from the stresses of modern life and explore this North Wales region.

After parking up in the spacious driveway, take a moment to appreciate the glorious surroundings before getting to know your new home from home.

Step directly into the lounge, presented with ample seating, a wall-mounted Smart TV and an alluring woodburning stove, while adjacent sits a second sitting room with vaulted ceilings and beams, providing an idyllic outlook over the pond.

Follow the flagstone flooring into the kitchen, dominated by a centre island and large gas range cooker, along with a range of appliances, a Belfast sink and plenty of storage, so those budding chefs will have no problem settling in.

Serve the fruits of your labour at the dining table, toasting to a much-needed retreat with your nearest and dearest whilst the crackle of the wood burner provides a calming ambiance.

The upstairs is split into two halves; from the kitchen leads to three twin bedrooms served by a bathroom, while from the second staircase leads to an almost identical configuration on the right hand side of the property, offering a double and two twins, served by a bathroom and shower room.

Continuing to impress, to the exterior of The Big Barn is a spacious lawn and patio area, perfect for allowing your pets to stretch their legs whilst you relax at the patio furniture, or why not take advantage of the hot tub on a starry night?

The nearby village of Bodfair is home to a popular pub and restaurant, The Dinorben Arms, serving fresh and tasty meals along with cask ales and superb wines, it is the perfect spot to enjoy a night away from the kitchen.

For local attractions, jump in the car and journey six miles to the city of St Asaph, where you can tour the 13th-century St Asaph Cathedral, thought to be the smallest of its kind in the UK, while there's a host of heritage waiting to be discovered further south at Denbigh Castle.

Further traditional Welsh culture can be sampled in the nearby villages of Llanasa Village, Saint Asaph, Llangollen and Betws Y Coed, each providing a taste of Wales’ fascinating history and traditions.

While in the area, be sure to take in the stunning scenery during walks over the winding Welsh hills, including the breath-taking Clwydian Hill Range and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

If you’re looking for a relaxing base in North Wales, secure your booking at The Big Barn.
