The property

Set on a quiet road between the canal and River Dee in the city of Chester is Canal View Cottage.

This redbrick, detached cottage boasts an attractive exterior, beautifully presented throughout with a contemporary feel.

It is the ideal getaway for two couples, family or friends looking for a city break and the chance to explore the wider region of Cheshire.

Kick off your walking shoes, hang up your coats in the entrance hallway, and step into your home-from-home.

The lounge offers the ideal place to relax in the company of your loved ones, with a corner sofa and Sky TV.

Pick one of your favorite films and enjoy a quiet night in.

Rustle up a meal in the well-equipped kitchen and dine together at the drop-leaf dining table set in the corner.

Take in the neutral décor as you crack open a bottle of wine and discuss the adventurous day you've just had.

Upstairs, over plush carpet, is where you will find the bedrooms.

The smaller of the two plays host to a double bed and an en-suite shower room fitted to a quality standard.

Next, the king-size double boasts a TV, fitted wardrobes and a rainfall shower head in the en-suite.

Each offer fresh colour schemes and quiet views across the back.

The city of Chester has plenty to suit all tastes, from walks along the old walls and the amphitheatre to shopping and evenings spent crawling the bars.

Spend a day at the famous Chester Zoo, catch a film or production at the Storyhouse theatre, even explore the Grosvenor Park of an afternoon.

You also have the Snowdonia mountain range in North Wales within easy reach, for walking and outdoors activities.

The cities of Liverpool and Manchester are also close by, offering a variety of entertainment.

About the location

Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.

Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
