"We had a nice stay in BRENIG: my main concern was the lack of communication, prior to the holiday."
Our booking disappeared from the VrBa app and none of my messages were answered. I was worried at one point, that I hadn’t actually booked, although the payment had been taken, in full. After a long and worrying phone conversation with a helpful rep from VrBa, it was resolved, just a few days before the trip. The booking never returned to the VrBa app. I don’t know what the problem was. The house was warm, well situated and spacious, if a little dated.

Great location but no mention on itinerary that there would be no towels, hence we had to go out and buy, property was very cold when we arrived and Lounge never seemed to warm up unless you were cooking with oven on , beds were very uncomfortable as mattresses were very thin and most of them had no mattress protectors on so you could see mattresses through sheets, duvet were more summer duvets, very clean and tidy

"No main bathroom light."
Dining chairs had 2 loose seats which kept falling off, 1 had rickety legs. Photo of property deceptive, did not show the very steep incline downwards of the drive. Bins not in photo. No pole to open/close velux windows. No ice cube tray in freezer. No bottom shelf in fridge door for milk/wine bottles. Both settees had no support in the seating cushions, bed in the upper room had a very thin and uncomfortable mattress.

"Fantastic location which is close to the beach and shops."
Excellent open plan living space and convenient bedroom organisation for grandparents, us and children. Also, the balcony and conservatory are lovely spaces. A few improvements could make the stay better. The TV wasn’t working for freeview in the downstairs bedroom, the other downstairs bedroom had an extremely uncomfortable bed and it was extremely difficult to locate useful items in the kitchen cupboards as they were so overcrowded with abandoned items and messy. Also, as well as towels as stated, we also had to provide our own bath mats, tea towels and even a sponge for the washing up.

Located on the outskirts of Abersoch, a coastal village in Gwynedd is Brenig, a fabulous, reverse-level home.

Park up on the private driveway, head into the home, and ascend the stairs to the first floor to reach the living space.
Be welcomed into a light and airy space, complete with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table for six, and plush seating, offering views out to the balcony.
Head outdoors to dine alfresco and watch the world go by as the sun sets, or for some extra privacy, set the picnic bench in the rear garden.
When sleep calls, select between three well-appointed bedrooms, the first resting on the second floor and complete with a king-size bed, sofa, and Velux windows; the two twin bedrooms rest on the ground floor, one of which features a Freeview TV with DVD player, perfect for the children of your group.

For the thrill-seekers of your group, be sure to add Glasfryn Parc to your itinerary, where you can spend the afternoon kayaking or trying your hand at a range of watersports, ahead of travelling further towards Snowdonia National Park, teaming with walking trails, cycling routes, and rural scenery.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
