  • "The house was lovely and in a fantastic location only a short walk to the promenade."

    The house had everything we needed and the only thing we would change is to have a dishwasher. The bed in the first bedroom on the left was not comfortable and the pillows were not the best for some our group. The owners were great, very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely book again.

  • "We have had a very nice holiday and really enjoyed visiting Rhos and the surrounding area."

    With regards to the house. The house itself is homely and suitable for a large group like ours. However we have found a number of things that we feel have been overlooked and really need addressing to ensure the property goes from alright to very good as at the moment in all honesty we don't feel we could recommend it to friends. Here are our collective thoughts on what you should consider. 1. Toilet roll holders - cheap and easy to sort 2. Mirrors above sinks in en-suites. 3. Shelves in bathrooms for toiletries. 4. Soap/shampoo rack for showers - try using without. 5. Towel rails for en-suites 6. Better light fittings for en-suites , they are dingy and have no shades 7. Shower screens not curtains, almost impossible to stop water leaking onto floor. 8.Enough seating in lounge for the potential 10 visitors, where are they all supposed to sit? Remove obsolete en-suite to make space. 10. Side tables for lounge to put drinks. 11. TV aerial and licence, not providing terrestrial TV is a must for a rental. 12. Decent curtains and tracks in bedrooms that actually cover the void properly and stop light coming in. 13. You need to invest in decent beds and bedroom furniture. All rooms need a good size wardrobe/s, dressing tables, bedside tables etc. 14. More power sockets in bedrooms in more convenient locations. 15. Bed sheet on one bed was actually a valance for a bed base not a sheet. Decent sheets required. We hope you don't mind us being candid but we paid a great deal of money for the week and the items listed above are basics that should really be covered in a modern high quality rental. We do however want to thank you for your help and the hot tub was a welcome addition and much appreciated.

  • "The house was spacious and in a great location."

    It was well equipped but unfortunately was not comfortable. The beds, pillows and sofas were not good at all and there was nowhere comfortable to relax. We had been reassured about the beds in the owners comments to a previous review regarding mattress toppers, but there were no toppers and to be honest, the beds require more than toppers.

    Thank you for the constructive points raised, we have since completely replaced all of the mattresses and bedding, the sofas have also just been replaced with brand new ones. Property Owner

  • "The property was in an excellent location close to the beach."

    It was very clean and generally well equipped and we very much enjoyed our holiday. We were fortunate to have warm sunny weather for our entire stay. Our only criticisms were the lack of clothes storage facilities in some of the bedrooms and also a dishwasher would have been useful considering the size of our party (8 adults, 2 children, two infants and one dog!)

    Very close to the seaside and a perfect spot for exploring North Wales! The host Eleanor was friendly, informative and very accommodating; her fish and chip recommendation was amazing!! We would definitely stay here again!!

The property

A beautifully presented five-bedroom detached holiday home, Brompton House, stands on the outskirts of Rhos-on-Sea, Conwy.

This fabulous home-from-home is ideal for families and friends to get together and enjoy quality time exploring the stunning North Wales coast.

The owners have renovated the property to make the most of the spacious rooms and art deco features which have been complemented with period furniture and stunning finishing touches.

Downstairs you’ll find a large double bedroom with en-suite shower room, lounge, open-plan kitchen/diner and utility room.

From the hallway a sweeping feature staircase takes you up to the first floor where you will find four further bedrooms, including a twin and three doubles, that are all presented to a high standard and each with their own en-suite shower room.

To the front of the house there is off-road parking for five cars, and the enclosed garden area to the rear is perfect for a relaxing meal outdoors.

You only need to walk a short distance from the house to find the seafront at Rhos-on-sea with its cafes, restaurants and of course the beautiful Blue Flag beach.

There are plenty of walking and hiking opportunities on the doorstep as well as Surf Snowdonia only being a quick drive away.

Venture a little further on and you are only a short drive from the heart of the famed Victorian seaside town of Llandudno with its pier and the majestic Great Orme.

You’ll be spoilt for choice for day trips with all of the attractions of North Wales within easy reach, whether it be walking, mountain biking, zip wiring, caving or water sports, there is something to suit every mood, meaning you’ll never have a dull moment in this Rhos-on-sea cottage.
