  • "Please be aware that the hot tub will not be ready to use until the following evening."

Also you have to maintain the hot tub yourself by adding chemicals and testing each day. We had a problem with the dishwasher which was not emptying and smelled terrible. This was not sorted for the whole of our stay which with 4 adults and 2 children made for a lot of washing up! However the cottage was beautiful and clean and the views were amazing. We had a lovely stay and had the dishwasher been sorted would have made for an excellent holiday.

  • "Lovely cottage , lots of utensils in the kitchen, plenty of useful bits left for us to use , foil , washing up liquid, dish cloth , scourer etc , plenty of cutlery & plates & bowls for 7 people."

We thought the draws could do with a hoover & wipe and some of the kitchen cupboards needed a wipe over otherwise the cottage was clean & tidy. The tv and Wi Fi were perfect , sofas & beds very comfortable. Central heating was amazing, very warm & cosy at the end of October !! The ‘Garth Y Fron information folder’ makes it very clear that you have to adjust chemicals in the hot tub and dip test the ph etc before you use it? I didn’t think this was acceptable, any other time we have stayed anywhere with a tub they have been ready to use , also it wasn’t at an appropriate temperature the first night so we subsequently lost an evening in there! However , the location of the property is perfect for a peaceful break in the north Wales countryside , Ruthin isn’t far away and Wrexham has everything you could want. North Wales coast is an hour away. Highly recommend this property.

Pwllglas is a quaint village four miles south of the hilltop town of Ruthin, which lies to the north of Llangollen via the breathtaking Horseshoe Pass. There is a village shop where visitors can enjoy coffee and a cake before heading off to discover the surrounding area which includes a nearby butterfly conservation area and an old fort. Between here and Ruthin is the village of Llanfair-Dyffryn-Clwyd which has an impressive 15th century church and a pleasant pub, which serves quality food. Picturesque Ruthin is nearby and has a 700 year old history, boasting attractive, half-timbered buildings, mainly clustered around St Peter's Square, along with interesting shops and buildings and the Ruthin Craft Centre, which houses work by internationally recognised artists and craftspeople and is well worth a visit. Beautiful countryside is on Ruthin's doorstep, with Lake Brenig, Moel Famau, Loggerheads Country Park and Clocaenog Forest close by. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance are the Coast, Snowdonia National Park and the wonderful historic city of Chester.
