  • "Lovely flat attached to the owner's house."

We chose the flat for its facilities and ease of access for my very elderly father. We were blessed with pretty much continuous sunshine for our three night stay. The garden was beautiful (in late March - I imagine it's a picture in the summer) and we were able to make good use of the conservatory and summer house. The flat and well-maintained garden were very easy for my father to get around with his walking frame and he enjoyed the garden bird life. Holywell and the A55 are close by but the road noise isn't a problem and the property is wonderfully situated to access some beautiful locations: we went to the Clwydian Hills to the south; RSPB Burton Mere and Ness Gardens to the east and RSPB Conwy, LLandudno and Great Orme to the west. Just a fraction of the opportunities within a 30 minute drive. Christina the owner could not have been more helpful and we'd certainly use the flat again to show my father more of North Wales.

This flat accommodation was absolutely lovely with all the comforts of home, a lovely large conservatory and the property being surrounded by beautiful gardens. The owners could not have been more friendly or helpful, they really made us welcome. Well situated for trips along North Wales to Anglesey and Llandudno and around to Chester and the Wirral. We will defiantly be taking a trip back to this property in the future.

The place was immaculately clean, had all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay and the conservatory was the best feature where we loved to sit and relax as a family on cold rainy evenings. Christina was a wonderful host and ever so helpful and we would most definitely recommend this place.

All well equipped and comfy. Parking outside. All on one level for access. A relaxing, peaceful location with great views, fresh air and huge spaces outside. A few miles away from hugeTesco, Lidl, shops and take-aways too. The owners are friendly, helpful and good tour guides too. The welcome hamper is just perfect when you arrive. We had a great holiday and would happily return.

  • "We had a wonderful time - shame about the weather!"

    - we had a lovely welcome, my son fell in love with the sheep that were staying in our host's field, the flat had everything we needed and was amply spacious enough for our family of four. The location was beautiful and nothing in North Wales seemed too far to get to. Many thanks to Christina and Tim.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday and the sun turned up for us that week."

The cottage was wonderful, clean and comfortable. The wifi was not the fastest but it did not matter as we were hardly in. We initially worried about the owners, Christina and Tim, being on the premises but it turned out to be an advantage. They had great knowledge and directions of surrounding areas. The pet sheep were an added bonus, and were the highlight of my nephew's holiday. They allowed him to feed them and that's all he still talks about. We loved the welcome care package, a lovely touch.

  • "This was a staycation with my family."

The flat is exactly as you see it and Christina and Tim were there to greet us, It was clean and tidy and was ample for our needs. It was also very peaceful and was just what the doctor ordered. The track up to the flat is a bit bumpy because of the potholes but you get used to it. There is a local Tesco and Lidl in Holywell which is about a mile away. We had a couple of mishaps including the curtains in the bathroom falling off the wall but once we brought it to Christina and Tim’s attention it was fixed by the time we got back. Conservatory is definitely an added bonus as well as the seating area outside. Our trip included visits to Prestatyn, Rhyl, Llandudno, Chester, Liverpool and Snowdon (need to get up early to get to the top). There was still so much to do that we will definitely be back. Thank you Christina and Tim.

  • "I have stayed here before (2 years ago) but the flat was just as charming and well equipped as before."

It is beautifully set up and has everything you could possibly need. There is a beautiful conservatory which is a lovely place to spend time and looking at the gorgeous garden. This is ideal for young or old families and the local town has a Tesco and a Lidl so big shops are close by as well as a Spar and Chinese takeaway all within a 10 minute drive from the flat. It is about 30 mins drive from the seaside town of Rhyl and the same in the opposite direction from Chester so there are lots of lovely places to go and visit that aren't too far away and are easily accessible by car. The owners of the flat are very helpful and have lots of knowledge of the local area and ideas of where to go along with the box of items in the flat with ideas of places to go. The owners property is attached but they are only there if you need them. I have no problem recommending this flat and I am sure I will stay here again in the future.

  • "The flat and host Christina was lovely and perfect for our stay Christina greeted us and made sure we were aware of how all equipment worked."

She also checked later with us to see we were warm and comfortable. You need to be aware that the flat is down a track which has many many potholes. The location is lovely though Within walking distance to the good club house. The view and gardens are beautiful and relaxing. Bathroom and kitchen could benefit from a hand towel but we never asked either. The flat was plenty big enough for 4 adults. Christina was friendly and there if needed Couldn't ask for more really

We are sorry to hear about potential pot holes leading up to the property. We would like assure you that we try our best to maintain the pot holes ourselves, however the road is owned by the Duke of Westminster and is not entirely within our control. Thank you very much for you kind comments and hope to see you holidaying with us again in the near future! Property Owner

  • "The Flat at Brwyn exceeded our expectations."

The owners were lovely, friendly people who made us feel very welcome. The flat is spacious, exceptionally clean, lovely bedding and towels etc. There was milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and biscuits in the kitchen and chocolates in the bedroom, what a lovely welcome! We had our own keys to both the entrance and the rear conservatory. We were able to park right up to the doors or round the back, there ismplenty of parking should visitors have two vehicles. The flat is warm and cosy with all round double-glazing and so quiet you can literally hear a pin drop especially at night. You approach thr property via a bridle path off the road, just a couple of hundred yards up this path there are a few bungalows and houses on the right hand side. The directions we were given were perfect. We spoke to the gentleman owner most days as he was often in the garden, the weather was really nice, and the surroundings are so peaceful and adjacent to the Holywell Golf course. We cannot recommend this flat enough, it is more like a bungalow than a flat really. The settees and chairs are very clean and comfortable, the tv reception and wi-fi are good too. There is a mini library of various books in the sunny conservatory with comfy chairs and settees with views over the garden. So if you want somewhere different from the lounge, the conservatory is ideal. We found the location for exploring North Wales just perfect for us. You are not far from the A55 which is a great road for getting to places like Chester, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Conwy, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. We found driving in the area to be very easy and there are some lovely views of both sea and mountains. We would like to thank the owners once more for their kindness and friendliness which really made us feel welcome. If we visit the area again we would have no hesitation in staying at The Flat at Brwyn.

The flat itself was beautifully furnished, all the amenities you would expect were there and a few more too. The owners home is attached. They are welcoming and have lots of ideas for places to go if you wish to know but they do not intrude in your holiday. You have your own garden sapce to relax in as well as garden furniture to use. A beautiful conservatory with comfy sofa's, dining table and chairs and bookcases. Beautifully clean through out and the owners were only a text away for assistance for example, I couldn't fathom the oven but it was no problem to resolve. Drive is off road and the flat is a lovely size so you don't feel you are on top of each other. I would certainly come back here again as it is a wonderful base for travelling and if you like golf there is a course almost on the doorstep!
