    The spiral staircase was more tricky than we'd imagined and no upstairs toilet was mildly annoying and road access took a bit of practice but all in all it's certainly first class in quality.

The property

This is a quirky, semi-detached cottage located in the North Wales town of Meliden.

It has brilliant character and comes in a convenient location, making it a great place for a group of friends to come together and enjoy a break.

Step into the bright and fresh hallway and be greeted by the homely sitting room, it has comfortable sofas and a stunning brick fireplace as well as a TV, an ideal spot to sit and put your feet up at the end of the day.

The kitchen is well-appointed in a stylish manner, benefited by modern tiling on the walls.

The ground floor is complete with a sumptuous, tiled family bathroom.

The first floor of Bwthyn Gwyn offers two cosy double bedrooms, both light and airy and finished off with some excellent wooden beams, adding real character.

The village of Meliden is a delightful place to spend a holiday, it offers a small selection of shops and pubs as well as a golf club.

It comes surrounded with excellent places worth visiting, with the popular seaside resort of Prestatyn just 1 mile away, it offers a good range of amenities as well as plenty of activities for everybody, including a stunning Blue Flag beach.

Bwthyn Gwyn is a delightful cottage in a great holiday location.

MELIDEN

Prestatyn 1 mile; Rhuddlan 2 miles.

Only one mile from the lovely North Wales coast, standing between the historic village of Rhuddlan with its majestic castle, and the famous resort of Prestatyn, the village of Meliden boasts a history of lead mining, a neolithic burial mound called Gop Hill which provides panoramic views of the area and also good pubs/restaurants and shops. Prestatyn, whose Blue Flag beach provides miles of golden sand, is ideal for bathing, water sports and fishing. The perfect base for touring the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, the Clwydian Hill Range, Victorian Llandudno, the Welsh Mountain Zoo or historic Chester with its wonderful shops and architecture. This area is a walker's paradise with the 8th century Offa's Dyke Pathway starting at Prestatyn seafront and meandering up into stunning countryside all the way to Chepstow, if you're fit!
