  • "Excellent week."

    Fantastic welcome pack and friendly hosts, who are happy to help and ensure you have an enjoyable stay. We had a very relaxed time in this well appointed cottage with beautifull grounds and fine sea views. Lilly Pad cottage offers a large area for parking, and a luxurious and quiet base to return to at the end of a busy day.

  • "We stayed at Lilly Pad over the Christmas period and what can we say?"

    After a long trip from Australia it was the picture perfect place to set up base for our festive break. Jackie and Peter are the best hosts with no requests too much trouble. Treated with some lovely local produce on arrival we felt comfortable and at ease straight away. Location was great for trips around north Wales and into England. We can’t wait to get back this year and are looking forward to another stay.

  • "An amazing cottage, the hosts had thought of everything, there were so many little extra touches that showed the pride they took in their property."

    The hosts were very welcoming and available if needed. Great walks and fantastic views on the doorstep. An absolute gem of a cottage and from my view even better being as dogs are not allowed (love them but unfortunately allergic to them)

    Jackie is such a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble for her. Everything was as great as the first time we stayed it’s so equipped with everything you could possibly need and just short drives to lots of lovely places to visit The bed and good quality bedding is so comfortable. The welcome pack and treats are very generous. We’re already looking to return. Honestly if you want somewhere special comfortable and 10 stars ( Im our eyes) this place is not to be missed You won’t be disappointed

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay."

    Only wish it could have been longer. The property is in excellent condition and and the facilities are really good. If the weather had been better we could have enjoyed the lovely secluded garden area with the furniture and equipment. The welcome pack was lovely as it contained many standard as well as surprise items. We would definitely recommend it to couples .

  • "My wife and I stayed at the Lily pad for a wee peaceful anniversary stay and it certainly didn’t disappoint!"

    We had great weather and the patio area was a little sun trap. The welcome pack that Jackie and Peter provided was lovely and the high quality bedding made all the difference making it feel very homely. The local beaches and walks were stunning and the local cafe YShed served the best salted caramel chocolate cake we’ve tasted. All in all a very relaxing enjoyable stay in lovely surroundings with lovely hosts.

  • "A delightful property to chill out in."

    The accommodation and decor was superb. Jackie and Peter were extremely welcoming and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. We will definitely consider returning if we feel the need to get away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. If you want to eat out on the Friday evening when you have just arrived it may be worth booking one of the local pubs/restaurants before you arrive and I am sure that Jackie will be able to advise.

  • "What a wonderful last minute find!"

    A lovely place, in such a peaceful and relaxing setting. The welcome pack was excellent and the attention to detail is fabulous! Everything you could wish for is provided to ensure a truly wonderful stay. The sofa bed was comfortable to sleep on and plenty of bedding and throws were available too. So glad we decided to stay an extra night and we've already booked for our Christmas shopping trip! Thank you for a fantastic stay, looking forward to staying with you again

  • "This was our first holiday in Wales We have had an amazing week at lily pad We have never stayed anywhere that is so nice as this one There’s so many lovely things in this larger than average annex The bed and bedding are so comfortable The lovely shower/wet room is so spacious The kitchen has everything you could need including a Nespresso coffee machine with pods provided The living room is also lovely and spacious The whole annex is tastefully decorated and there’s a lot of thought and love gone into making this a fabulous holiday home Outside is just as nice with a decking area with sun beds fire pit and bbq We spent our evenings relaxing outside There’s even outdoor blankets for cooler evenings but we didn’t need them There’s so many places to visit near by too waterfalls beaches zoo Mountains and castles The host Jackie is lovely and friendly The welcome pack was amazing and luxurious and very generous We have never had anything like it."

    We are already planning our next stay at lily pad for later in the year.

    We have had such a wonderful time staying in the lily pad. It is such a perfect place to stay. It was spotless, clean and comfortable and was equipped to a very high standard. We would like to thank you so much for the wonderful welcome pack, with all the lovely goodies, which we really appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. We managed to have our lunch in the garden on one of the days, which we enjoyed as garden is really lovely, especially in the evening, when lights in the tree and on the fence come on.   • "One of the most delightful, charming and comfy cottages we have booked recently, with lots of little unexpected extras."

    Jackie and Peter were most welcoming and made themselves available at all times, not that we needed them :). The welcome pack that they left exceeded all our expectations and was gratefully received and enjoyed. The garden was well equipped with both table and chairs, loungers and a tidy firepit with large relaxing chairs, we were only sorry that the weather was not good enough to use them each day. The bed and linen were like sleeping on cotton wool, so lovely

  • "An amazing property tha has been styled and furnished to a very high standard."

    The multi level outdoor area catches the sun throughout the day and even after watching glimpses of the sunset out to sea you can look forward to an evening around the fire pit snuggled under a throw. The interior is just as impressive with a large living space, complete kitchen, generous sized wetroom and a guaranteed goods night sleep in the comfiest bed. The hosts are generous to a fault and we have already started planning our next visit.

    It was spotlessly clean, with lovely bright and airy rooms with top quality bedding. We loved the walk in wet room! The kitchen was well equipped including a Nespresso coffee machine and all the pods we could hope for! We took full advantage of the the idyllic neighbouring countryside and took full advantage the Offa’s Dyke walking routes on our door step. Jackie and Peter were excellent hosts and the welcome package was greatly appreciated . Highly recommended and we will be back.

DYSERTH

Prestatyn 4 miles.

Dyserth is close to the lovely North Wales coast, four miles from the seaside town of Prestatyn. This pretty little village was mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086 and has ancient castle ruins, a stunning waterfall with quaint tea rooms next to it, two pubs both serving food and the Parish church of St Bridget with superb stained glass windows. There is easy access to lovely local walks including Offa’s Dyke Path, Gop Hill, Allt Y Craig and Golden Grove, where you can enjoy the fantastic scenery and vistas of the local area. Prestatyn, whose Blue Flag beach provides miles of golden sand, is ideal for bathing, water sports and fishing. The perfect base for touring the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, the Clwydian Hill Range, Victorian Llandudno, the Welsh Mountain Zoo or historic Chester with its wonderful shops and architecture.
