The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was an ideal base for our visit to North Wales and we hope to revisit the Old Inn again in the future.

  • "Really lovely property, very well equipped with everything you could possibly require."

The only downside was the parking. It was best to be back at the property before 5 pm as there were so many people enjoying the Fairy Glen (good food) and The Austrian Restaurant (more good food), that parking space was very limited. Lots of stunning walks from the doorstep and the scenery is great especially in the sunshine.

  • "It was great."

Would certainly use this cottage if we wanted to stay in Capalulo or the surounding area again. The best one that we have stayed in with Sykes Cottages

  • "This property has been expertly modernised and is well looked after by the owners."

Ample utensils and cooking appliances if like us you do your own ,but a good pub within 50yds if you wish to eat out .Very quiet setting and we slept soundly all week. Free parking right opposite the apartment which was a godsend as room in the village is very limited. signal strength for mobiles is not very good inside the property but outside it was ok. We enjoyed our stay very much and could well come back in the future.

  • "We always choose different locations for every holiday so there is no correlation between not re-booking the property and our feedback."

The location was lovely and the owner was very pleasant and helpful. The only downside if you can call it that is that the main road was very busy when you are trying to get to sleep, but this is a small point and it won't bother some people. Otherwise it was a wonderful home and location. thanks for allowing us to holiday there.

Idyllic village setting with great walks right on the doorstep. Owners live on site, very friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble, extremely accommodating. A little Jem, that our family would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Value for money!

About the location

Penmaenmawr 1.5 miles; Conwy 2.5 miles; Llandudno 10 miles.

Capelulo is a small village on the North Wales coast between Penmaenmawr and Conwy. The village is in an elevated position with both mountain and sea views and is home to a pub and an Austrian restaurant. Set on the side of the Tal-Y-Fan mountain, Capelulo enjoys stunning views across Conwy Bay to Llandudno, Anglesey and the Irish Sea, and if you are lucky, dolphins can sometimes been see playing in the bay. Capelulo is just a couple of miles from Penmaenmawr, an old quarrying town now adapted into a delightful community stretching along this stunning coastline, yet retaining much of its Victorian architecture, with many local pubs, restaurants and shops, a superb golf course and golden, sandy beaches. A recently opened cycle path leads along the coastal path to Conwy Marina to the East, and Llanfairfechan to the west. Or, head up the Conwy valley through the Sychnant Pass on to the mountain trails that abound there. The sailing club in Penmaenmawr is well established and welcomes day guests, as does the 9 hole golf course, set amongst stunning coastal scenery on the lower slopes of the village. On the promenade you will find numerous activities such as a skate park, bowling green and all weather tennis courts as well as a beach café in the summer.
