The cottage wasnt very clean we had to wash the cutlery before we could use it lots of dead wasp and fly's round the window cobwebs with dead fly's in counters bathroom sink plug was full of hair and slime and needs new seating as the couches are very worn and one is ripped underneath the other has a big sink hole new mattress are also needed it has a ramp for wheelchair access but the toilet isnt very good for disabled person to use we was ment to stay for two weeks but came home after 9 days

“This was the second time we'd stayed at this site and it has most things that are needed.”

The bathroom is cosmetically fine but needs better ventilation to help stop fungal growth and for idiots like me - a more powerful shower would be appreciated - Try a smaller head. We all loved the site - the views are stunning - especially at sunset and the walks are great for the dogs

The property was very convenient for visiting all the surrounding attractions. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and the property was roomy enough to get her chair around. The owners were very friendly and came over to greet us on our arrival.

We (family of four) stayed at Arenig Cottage for week in August 2017 and it was lovely. The owner was very friendly and came by early on to introduce herself and say hi. The cottage itself has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, an a living room area. All very clean and modern. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils for cooking (pots, pans, crockery, cutlery), there is a TV with DVD player, and complimentary biscuits. The cottage is wheelchair friendly and has a ramp to the front door and the bathroom is a wet room for accessible showering.

Plenty big enough for 3 adults and two border collies for one week. Spectacular views from the cottage due to autumn colours and autumnal mornings meaning the view changed on a daily basis. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone. Cozy and welcoming and the view - well its just amazing.

The cottage was spotless when we occupied and the owners laid on a lot of little extras that we didn't expect such as tea and coffee and all cleaning supplies which saved us bringing unnecessary items. The only criticism we have is that it is not fully accessible for a wheelchair bound person but is fully manageable as long that person has some assistance.

“lovely area”

stayed in the cottage during the half term break with our dog. she had a good walk every day at the back of the cottage up into the hills that is used for off road driving, fortunately there was only a few hard corps drivers testing themselves which gave us a laugh but we had a nice walk every day either close to the cottage or when we went out. the cottage itself was very clean and tidy and we were welcomed by the owner who was very informative about the area. the local amenities 2.5 miles away were quite ok and open quite late for a range of products. we did enjoy our visit and would recommend it to others quite easily.

The setting although beside another cottage let was quiet with very good parking. It was lovely to walk up the lane, through fields and the further benefit was from the beautiful views and countryside. The cottage itself was well suited to our party of four plus our dog. The bustling market town of Bala lies within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and is located at the head of Llyn Tegid, Bala’s famous lake, which is the largest natural lake in Wales and home to a unique fish called the Gwyniad, a relic of the Ice Age.
