This little house is tucked away in a small quiet street just a 10 minute walk from the city centre. On arrival Gill and Jane are there to greet you and explain the parking arrangements, which are easy. The house is very clean but has a cosy homely feel. Small sitting room but two cosy sofas and nice big tv. Dining room had plenty of room to sit around table for meals and the kitchen had EVERYTHING you could want to cook a meal. Upstairs the beds are very comfortable and there is loads of storage space . The bathroom is lovely and modern and very roomy . Outside is a little courtyard that is ideal to sit and have a drink or let the dog out! . We loved the quiet street and places to eat and have a drink are all in walking distance because parking in Chester is a bit rubbish so it was lovely to be able to leave the car at home. It was the little things that made this place special. The welcome pack was lovely, bread, milk, eggs, butter and a bottle of fizz! All the cleaning stuff you could need and basics like tin foil, cling film, sugar, tea, coffee , washing up liquid etc. If you have a dog there is even doggie blankets and towels and a tin of treats but if you don’t, there are no dog hairs or doggie smells in this charming little place. Well done ladies, we loved it .

About the location

CHESTER

Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.

Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
