  • "Perfect location."

This our third time staying here. Couldn't ask for a better location, you can easily get around to everything Chester has to offer. The home is comfortable for our family of six w/ plenty of room. Kitchen was fully stocked for our arrival and owner is very responsive. We had a great stay and will continue to rent when we return.

  • "Dee Heights was a wonderful temporary home for me: very comfortable, peaceful and well appointed with everything one can wish for."

The location by the Dee, yet so close to everything beautiful Chester offers to the visitor, is simply perfect; I loved watching the river and its wildlife. Thank you Rachel for sharing this amazing apartment with holiday makers! I hope to be back soon.

  • "Excellent stay."

Lovely place. Perfect location and view. Great communication with the owner. Would suggest adding the full details in the listing about short term parking details in Lower Bridge St. and also needing to park elsewhere. Also suggest adding the full details about Grosvenor parking (best option £10/day) or Little Roodee (£8-13/day -- NOT always just £8/day) options. It took me lots of research to determine the fees and logistics - Chester Council Parking Dept. had no clue when I called them. Grosvenor is very easy parking. Central and only 5 mins walk from flat. No ticket needed at all. NOTE -- we accidently saved a LOT of money at Grosvenor parking when we left the car park (and paid) on a day trip but returned to the car park before the actual 24 hour paid-up time on our receipt for the previous payment. We were only charged for 1 hour for the next few days of parking!

  • "This is my second visit to Dee Heights and as with the first visit, “fantastic” does not do the accommodation justice."

Location and views are 110% and the set up makes you feel like it’s a home. Rachel was/is fantastic and makes the effort to ensure the stay is going well. Definitely will be returning for a third visit.

Communication was clear and the accommodation was very comfortable. Fairly priced and excellent location. I've stayed at many rental properties around the world and can say that Dee Heights has been the best equipped of them all-literally short of nothing. Thank you

  • "Just got back from a week at Dee Heights, excellent location on city walls 2 minute walk to centre."

After a 7 hour journey due to hold ups on motorways we arrived to a welcoming warm apartment, thank you Rachel. Apartment very well equipped, beds comfortable, bathrooms very clean, TV set up best we have ever had in a rental with Sky movies, Sky sports and Netflix. No parking so we paid £28 for parking for the week a 10 minute walk away which as we had quite a bit of bad weather was a bit of a pain, I think in the winter next time we would pay more to get parking a bit nearer. We turned off boiler at night as it's in one of the bedrooms which worked for us but maybe a problem for others. We ate at our favourite restaurants, there are many to choose from and travelled to Old Trafford twice for matches. Views from the windows at front of property are stunning and we would definitely return hopefully in the summer!

  • "We loved our stay at Dee Heights."

A really well-provisioned apartment, with amazing views and all so close to the beautiful Chester town centre. Well located to travel further afield too. Would definitely recommend this property and would happily stay here again - Rachel is first class in helping with any queries you may have too.

  • "Excellent location in Chester, Host was very helpful and attentive (great local knowledge for directions and parking)."

Accommodation catered for 6 adults easily with all equipment matching the required numbers. Only slightly negative comment is the L shaped sofa doesn't seat 6 in comfort, but we didn't go to Chester to sit on the sofa. Would definitely rebook.

  • "This is a lovely apartment that retains a homely touch."

It belonged to the owner's mother and you can tell how much the place still means to the family. The views are outstanding and the apartment itself is well equipped. You actually feel you don't want to leave, but it is nice to step out onto the city walls and soak up the history of Chester. There are two steep staircases with quite narrow treads and you may also want to note that you cannot drop your things off immediately outside the apartment - it's about a 30-40 metre walk from limited stay parking on the street so it keeps you fit on arrival and departure! This did not detract from our stay. When I stayed, the car park at the racecourse was closed but I parked at the Grosvenor multi storey at £10 a day. Rachel, the owner, is incredibly helpful. I am hoping to come back at some point.

  • "Beautiful appartment in a great location."

Lierally righ on the city wall, overlooking the river Dee. We had dood weather, so sitting on the balcony in the evening was really nice.More than enough in the way of equipment and facilities, with a well stocked kitchen; large widescreen smart TV, good wifi. The chocolates and sparkling wine on arrival were a nice touch. Would definitely come again. One minor downside was the lack of parking. Only option was £8 per day at a nearby public car park. Not really a problem, and difficult to see an alternative for a city center location.

The apartment was just what we needed and stocked with all the home comforts, which was an unexpected surprise. Communication with the owner, Rachel, throughout was exemplary. She was extremely friendly and welcoming and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed including tips on parking, things to do and places to eat in Chester.

  • "The house is probably the best location in Chester, quietly overlooking the river and convenient for all the local attractions."

Its raised location above the city wall provides lovely views of the river Dee and the associated wildlife. We had 3 kids with us from ages 9 to 16 and they did not get bored from playing games and watching their favourite films. The facilities matched those at home on the Isle of Wight so we felt comfortable and soon established a daily routine. I would recommend this property to any family wanting to explore the Chester area and it is good value and so much better than a hotel room.

My wife and I have spent many holidays in Chester from Australia over the years and often noticed 23 City Walls and the lovely flowers on the balcony and commented what an ideal location it was. Upon arrival we were met by the owner who gave us all a good run down on the apartment. My family, friends and myself found the apartment exceeded our expectations for cleanliness, comfort and facilities. We will hope to stay at 23 City Walls again in the future if it is available and would recommend the apartment to everyone.

  • "Ideally situated property with a lovely view over the river."

A bottle of bubbly was waiting for us on arrival, which was a lovely touch. There is no parking nearby which was a problem in offloading and loading the car and be prepared to pay upwards of £8 per day in the nearest car park. The games room is basically a shelf of games etc so this was slightly misleading but not an issue for us. The interior is partially refurbished to a high standard and it appears to be work in progress with the remaining rooms. Rachel was lovely and helpful when we asked what to do with our refuse/recycling.We loved staying there, it suited our needs perfectly and we would definitely return.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you had issues with parking. I can confirm that there is free parking everyday nearby after 6pm and on a Sunday all day. 30 minutes parking is available close by on Lower Bridge Street during the day which would be sufficient for unloading the car. The car park I advise my guests of is £5 all day so I am not sure which one you used. I hope you enjoyed your stay otherwise and I am glad you would be happy to return. Property Owner
