  • “The equipment for preparing and cooking food at the property is limited with the property seeming to largely cater for groups who will be eating out for the majority of their meals.”

    ...

There are very few bowls to use and no casserole style dishes for cooking in the oven provided. The property was also lacking a cafetiere. However as had stayed at the property previously - this time I was prepared, but I was not then it would have been very frustrating. The accommodation is very good in term of comfort in terms of the furniture and heating. The oven, washing machine, dishwasher & microwave all work very well. The property’s location in the city of Chester is good and there is secure parking for one vehicle but larger parties with more than one vehicle may have issues.

The property

This modern and tasteful townhouse enjoys a central location in the historic city of Chester.

Offering high-quality accommodation for up to eight guests, bring your friends and family together to explore this fascinating Roman city.

Be welcomed in by the stunning interior; to your right lies an exquisite sitting room with elegant Chesterfield sofas, dotted around the attractive woodburning stove, and a wall-mounted TV completes the layout.

This floor also offers guests a fabulous kitchen/diner, boasting a contemporary dining table and a stylish breakfast bar, along with a well-equipped and up-to-date kitchen area.

The property rests over three storeys, with the first floor providing two well-presented king-size bedrooms, one of which benefits from its own immaculate en-suite.

Also on this level, you will discover an elegant bathroom featuring a roll-top bath and splendid black and white floor tiles.

Another staircase brings you to the fabulous second floor, where you will find a double and a twin room, as well as a charming shower room finished with floral wallpaper and rustic wooden floorboards.

When the sun makes an appearance, head straight into the enclosed suntrap garden to the back of the property, where you can bask on the decking with a refreshing drink.

A leisurely stroll leads you towards the magnificent city centre, where the streets are lined with timber-framed buildings as well as the well-known Tudor Rows.

Here you can spend the day splashing the cash in the highest-quality shops, bars and restaurants.

Alternatively, you can enjoy the range of popular attractions including the wonderful canal, boat rides on the River Dee, the Grosvenor Park and the Roman amphitheatre.

About the location

CHESTER

Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.

Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
