The property itself is in a perfect location and has all the mod cons you need to make it feel a home from home.

  • "Caravan was comfortable, some radiators did not get completly hot, should be checked out, may need bleeding."

More info regarding facilities would be good. There was no mention of a dishwasher, or I would have bought to D/W tablets.,Also no mention of a freezer, no mention of a hairdryer or iron. These are usful things to know when packing,. Also I think that there should be some cleaning materials made available. Take hotwater bottles, the bedrooms are at the back and can get quite cold. May improve if radiators work.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay at Bwthyn Y Bae Lodge."

It was in a perfect position, 5 mins from the beach, near the cafe & Lobster Pot. It is quite private considering it is by the road. There is a touring campsite opposite but we were not disturbed by that or by the lobster factory behind. There are 3 gates joining the properties either side of the lodge…advise checking they are shut before letting any dogs run free as 1 of them was open when we arrived. The lodge could have been cleaner: light switches covered in fingerprints, sink had toothpaste on the side, soap dish & toothpaste holder were dirty. Decking and furniture outside could have also done with a clean. I also think that the throws on the furniture were a bit musty, not sure if they are changed between guests. All minor things but they all add up. Lodge was comfortable with just about enough equipment in the kitchen. I think the display cabinets could have a few nik naks in them then it would feel a bit more homely. We will definitely be returning to Bwthyn Y Bae in the future.

Accommodation was superb. Couldn't find the outside bins, so I had to take them in the car to somewhere else. Other than that, it was perfect, we will definitely book again in the future and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for the wine and milk. It was a thoughtful gesture.

  • "We're just home from a lovely week long stay in Bwythn Y Bae lodge."

We had an amazing stay and the lodge was just brilliant. Fantastic location and lovely and cosy. We were extremely impressed with how clean the lodge was on arrival and how well presented the lodge and the surrounding grounds were. Nia the host was amazing, we needed a few things from her and they couldn't have been sorted for us any quicker. We would definitely recommend and give a 10 out of 10 and can't wait to come back. Thank you :)

could not get boiler to work on timer and had to switch it on and off manually. (We did contact the owner about this) He came to have a look but was also unable to fix the problem at the time. all in all this did'nt stop us enjoying the holiday.

  • "Nice location, with easy access to all parts of the island."

Off road parking was a real bonus as road outside does get busy with day trippers. The lodge itself felt it needed a bit of TLC and was a bit dated. We felt the lodge was not as clean as it could have been on our arrival, but this was easily rectified as cleaning products had been left. Perhaps the owners should have also mentioned that this lodge backs onto a working lobster business and this meant a generator running for long periods day and night. Also lorry deliveries very early in the morning. All in all a lovely location for a holiday, enhanced by the fact we had a week of sunshine, with the local cafe serving the biggest scones we have ever seen.

  • "We were really pleased with our stay at the lodge."

It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed as a family of 4. The shower was great, beds comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The outside space was great to have as well and the children were able to play out there safely. A 2 minute walk to the beach, coastal paths either side and food/drink available in the cafe and restaurant on the door step. We would definitely stay again.

  • "Really lovely holiday experience."

The Lodge was beautifully clean, lovely and warm in the November chill and well laid out. One comment re listing, when I phoned to ask if there was a dishwasher I was told that there was not. Happily however, a dishwasher was there although only 5 dishwasher tablets. As we did not go to any shops during the holiday we were unable to buy any but could have taken some with us if we had known the dishwasher was there. The location was fantastic, just a very short walk to the lovely Church Bay beach and clifftop walks, also very close to The Lobster Pot restaurant which is gorgeous and the seafood heavenly.

  • "We would have rated our stay at 5 stars, but from the considerable overnight noise from the business behind the caravan, with crates, or whatever, being crashed about very early in the morning."

On the Monday morning the noise started at 4.30am, and much of the rest of the week between 5am and 6am, causing considerable loss of sleep. As we pointed out on the note we left, there was no Hand Sanitizer provided, although it was listed in your details.

  • "We just didn't like this place at all and encountered quite a few issues which when reported, were met with a fairly hostile response from the owners via Sykes."

We left mid holiday and booked a hotel to try and salvage some time back on the trip. We thought it was an old and dated caravan with issues that just kept mounting up. We're sure we'll receive a scathing response to this review like other Sykes customers on other properties the owner of this property has, but we're entitled to our review and would say to the owners, rather than getting defensive, maybe listen to the feedback instead. Customer service from Sykes was super as usual, they listened to us, advised and acted on our behalf, can't fault them at all and we appreciate their assistance as always.
