  • "What a WONDERFUL property!"

Our family gathering of four households were swallowed with ease into the vast accommodation and we had a fantastic time. Peaceful and tranquil, with amazing views, and plenty to do near by: Chester city, Chester Zoo, castle galore, vast beaches at Rhyl, etc, etc.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

Inside the house there has been no expense spared. Comfort is outstanding. The kitchen is designed to perfection, the only thing I couldn’t find that I needed was a tray for Yorkshire puddings. The area is peaceful which is what we wanted. No need to take towels as there is a huge floor to ceiling cupboard full of them in the utility room. Stanley seems a friendly guy and his dog Is very friendly too. We will book to go back!

  • "Perfect stay for our family gathering to celebrate our parents anniversary."

Villa Farm Rear exceeded our expectations. The Villa was enormous, complete with everything needed for our stay. The furnishings, equipment and gadgets were of good quality and functionality, very well thought out. The kitchen was superb with all mod cons, could pass as a professional kitchen. The outdoor space was vast and the perfect roaming ground for our hound. The host Stanley was most hospitable and approachable, and we thought the welcome gifts were a lovely gesture. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Villa and look forward to staying there again. Perfect holiday in a perfect away from home stay with our extended family in a perfect setting, what more could we ask for. Thank you very much Stanley and team.

It made the holiday before it even began. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and his team .

  • "Fabulous place, very spacious and peaceful."

Owners are very helpful and responsive if you need anything. The house is well decorated and there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Can’t fault the house, it’s well equipped and clean. The WiFi isn’t great in some parts of the house but that isn’t always a problem if you really want to switch off! Perfect for larger families or a few familIes getting together.

  • "Family group 7 adults and 2 children with 2 dogs 7th - 14th August 2021."

The farmhouse was huge with every facility you could want and with exceedingly ample size rooms. Quoting my adult daughter "the kitchen was to die for" with all the top range items, a Wolf Gas Range, an Aga Oven, Miele dishwasher built-in wine cooler and a host of other items. The walled garden was also huge with a grass area big enough for us to play a family game of cricket. The Owner was very helpful and generous providing more than one normally gets in a holiday let. Also the gift of fresh fruit, wine, cake and flowers was a pleasant surprise on our arrival. The daughters and their spouses took the dogs on the many walks in the area although the footpaths were not always well defined perhaps it is not a prominent walking area? Which could be considered a positive compared with the Lake District where the footpaths are as busy as Oxford Street London and walkers are following each other in long "crocodiles". When we could persuade the grandsons to leave the games room there are plenty of places to visit in the area e.g. Bangor on Dee, Horseshoe Pass, Horse shoe Falls Telfords Weir, Llangollen, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct were nice and local . Llanberis and Snowdon are within easy reach although quite busy. We had a thoroughly enjoyable family holiday in a quiet and peaceful location. Regards Gerald Cowen

  • "Very spacious house in lovely area, perfect for a big group, great to have the newly installed hot tub and plenty of outdoor space."

Enormous kitchen and living areas which was good for our multi-age party. It seems the owner is new to letting and there were a few issues that needed sorting out, but he was helpful and very responsive to our requests. Wifi was pretty terrible and only accessible in 1 room. Well equipped for many things (kitchen and utility room especially) but it still feels a little like the house and garden is a work in progress - when a few glitches are sorted out ( for example, less dining chairs than the number of people staying!) this will be a fantastic place to stay.
