  • "First time stay at 6 Stad yr Ysgol excellent location very big cottage the only criticism in the kitchen couldn’t use any of the kitchen cupboards to put our food away as every cupboard was filled up with kitchen equipment had everything we could have needed ."

The bedroom curtains was to thin lets to much light in at night time . Comfy bed . 2 bathrooms and a toilet downstairs. No clear instructions about who puts the bins out . The spare car park space always was taken by a taxi firm . Wasn’t the cleanest could do with improving..

  • "This house was everything you would expect from a holliday stay and a lot more."

It was extremely well furnished and extremely clean. The beds were spotless and comfortable. What more can I say, it was a great stay. We were also pleased that there were three toilets. It's an ideal spot to visit North Wales. We had a fantastic Sunday Lunch in the Portmeirion Hotel. You don't pay admission to the site if you have Sunday lunch, which makes the meal very unexpensive. It was so good we wanted to go back the next day for a meal but you have to pay admisson charges in the week. We went to Anglesey and to Ynys Llanddwyn and Traeth Llanddwyn. It's a fabulous beach and you park really close to it. There is a half hour walk to the island and you have to watch the tide. Then we went to Plas Newydd, which is just down the road from the beach, and had a red squirrel guided walk, which was a thrill, as I haven't seen any for seventy years. It was an excellent short holiday and I hope this info helps

Close to where we wanted to be which was the Slate Caverns and easy access to Snowdon area. Only stayed 3 nights but could have stayed much longer, had everything we needed and more. Will go again if going back to that area.

  • "Overall a nice place to stay and close to all the amenities we wanted."

On a couple of evenings had to put heating on for a short period. Just as well we have a hive at home and managed to work it out. No instructions found about operation. Also the lounge radiator would not get vey hot if only like warm tried to adjust rad valve but made no difference. Also as a future though could a small wooden fence with a gate be erected alongside of property between house and road so that small children and pets cannot escape into the said road? Other than those points a clean property with a good all round accommodation. Thank you for a lovely week.

The house had everything we needed, was clean, and had plenty of room. It's in a good location for the places we wanted to visit as we often aim for Snowdonia when we visit North Wales. Good price too. Thanks for having us! We'll definitely recommend your house to friends and family and would love to stay again one day. Karl and family

  • "Loved This area Of North Wales."

The property is a good base for touring around. Needs clear written instructions for TV and Cooker! Found those a challenge. Dining Table in kitchen far to big when 4 Adults trying to sit at it. A little alarmed when we were expected to strip beds and empty all bins through house on departure morning - most unusual. Having said all that a very comfy property.

  • "A lovely place to stay, well equipped, clean and a nice touch leaving milk and biscuits for us on arrival."

Central location for everything that we wanted to do. The friendly next door neighbour was very helpful when we asked him a few questions and he told us about the local walk up to llyn y manod which was stunning. There is a good Co op shop along the road and an excellent fish and chip shop too. I would certainly recommend staying here.

  • "We had a brilliant time on our holiday!"

Both being key workers we were in need of a relaxing break and that we had. The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring which was great with our energetic pup! There is plenty to do nearby despite the local lockdowns in neighbouring counties and the village has everything you need. We found the cottage well equipped and spacious for the two of us, we couldn’t have asked for anything more! We can’t wait to return soon!

We had no parking problems with only one car, but we noticed that the designated second parking place opposite was frequently occupied by other vehices. Our only grumble was that the upper shelf of the dishwasher was seriously broken and very awkward to use.

if you’re staying in all day then the heating does need to change but we did find it difficult to keep the heating on as every time we have tried to override it would go back to its normal setting. there is two car parking spaces however a taxi down the road always parks in our second car park lucky we can have a second car with us.

Well equipped interior and good parking spaces. Extensive supply of leaflets and maps of the local area with recommendations to visit. Local walking maps extremely useful. Good base for travelling around the Snowden Range or the coast at Porthmadog and Black Rock Sands drive on beach. The Ffestiniog and Welsh Mountain trips are a must do. White water sports and zip wires also abound in the area. Great holiday

  • "Perfect property for three adults exploring North Wales."

Very clean, beautifully furnished with an extensively equipped kitchen wanting for nothing. Good freesat tv and Wi-fi. Personally would have liked a little less ornaments to free up surfaces to put things down. Don’t be put off that the village can be in low cloud (experienced in August) as a short tour out will nearly always find better weather. Small and very adequate Coop in village and larger Tesco in Porthmadog.

The cottage wa absolutely brilliant. There was nothing that the owners hadn't thought of. The only downside was it stated a tumble dryer on the premises and there wasn't one. This wasn't the end of the world. Also perhaps the garden could be made secure. Our dog wasn't bothered, he was quite happy tethered to a long lead. This has been the best cottage I have ever stayed in, would highly recommend.

The property

An exceptionally, well-presented modern, semi-detached cottage located in a small residential cul-de-sac in the village of Manod, just on the outskirts of the historic, slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, famous for its Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Steam trains and now is fast becoming the adventure capital of Wales.

This cottage provides an ideal base for families or groups of friends to explore the area and spend time together.

The attention to detail, tasteful decoration and stylish interior with good quality oak furniture and complimenting fabrics add a touch of luxury making this cottage quite special and will create and make wonderful memories for you to take away and cherish.

The sitting room provides comfy seating for everyone and the reclining sofas mean after a busy day out and about exploring you can put your feet up and enjoy a family movie together.

The beautifully appointed kitchen with granite worktops is well-equipped and a dining area provides comfortable dining.

ThereÂ’s even a utility room and downstairs cloakroom for your convenience.

Three spacious and stylish bedrooms are upstairs, with the master bedroom benefiting from a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, together with a modern and contemporary family bathroom completes this lovely holiday home.

Outside is a lawned garden with furniture, and the garage provides secure storage for bikes and equipment which is so handy given there are some fantastic mountain bike tracks and trails close by.

The whole area is fantastic for walkers, with some wonderful routes from the door to lakes, mountains and waterfalls.

Blaenau Ffestiniog is becoming increasingly popular amongst those seeking some thrills!

Zip World Titan, the longest zip wire in Europe, Bounce Below and Zip Caverns, a subterranean system of trampolines and zip wires deep underground, are all a short drive away, and of course there is the famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway to Porthmadog.

The Italian village of Portmeirion is 5 miles away, and historic castles and sandy beaches are all within a 20 minute drive.
