  • "Stunning little cottage, the pictures on the site don't actually do it justice."

Level of fit and finish is top notch and the owners really have thought of everything. Little things too, like Tea bags, fresh milk just in case you forget, like I did. Butter and scones too. Really can't praise it high enough. Add in a Bathroom to die for and the whole place spotlessly clean. 5 stars, really.

The owners couldn’t be more helpful and the facilities in the cottage were amazing, especially the bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped and it seems to be that there is nothing they haven’t thought of. Thankyou for a fabulous holiday.

  • "This is a brilliant holiday cottage."

The bathroom is amazing and the kitchen is great with everything you need. We appreciated the welcome pack of food! The beds were really comfortable and warm. The whole house was very clean, modern and comfortable. Internet access was good. The cottage is well located, just a short stroll from the centre of Blaenau Ffestiniog and we did a lovely walk up in the surrounding hills. All three N Wales Zipworlds, Betws-y-Coed (would recommend Hangin Pizza) and mountain walks in Snowdonia (would recommend Lake Ogwen) are all within a hour’s drive. It was easy to communicate with the property owners. We had a great week and would really recommend this property!

  • "Lovely cottage, good quality furnishings and fittings, stunning bathroom, most welcome after hours of walking!"

Brilliant utility room for washing and drying. Good location for exploring Snowdonia and beyond. Some road noise overnight in front bedrooms, we arrived on the hottest week on record and had to have all the windows open. Parking is tight for 2 cars with a steep ramp onto parking area ( we scraped both cars underneath getting on :( ) Had a fab week exploring- Snowdon, Portmerion Village, Harlech Castle and beach (watch for jellyfish), Ffestiniog Railway, Cwmorthin Waterfall and lake above it, if you can make the walk up to it, is stunning. All a car journey away. Good Covid-19 procedures and check in communication :)

The location is great fo exploring North Wales. The only thing to note is that the parking is only really suitable for one large or two very small cars, but there is plenty of on street parking close by.

  • "We had a wonderful time at Ty Arthur!"

Everything was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was very well equipped, beds super comfy, shower powerful and hot, and the log burner in the lounge was a lovely addition for chilly evenings. Everything was very simple with check in (keys left in a key safe by the door) and the hosts leave their number in case of any queries or issues (we didn't have any!) Would definitely recommend the cottage as a brilliant base to explore Snowdonia :)

The bathroom and shower is Pure luxury :) the only thing I would say is that the kitchen would benefit from more baking trays but apart from that it was perfect

  • "This cottage is stunning, the pictures do not do it justice."

Upon arrival we were greeted with a hamper which included basics such as bread, milk and butter together with tea/coffee. The Kitchen is well stocked with all equipment to cook a 3 course meal if required. The lounge/dining room is spacious and cosy with high quality décor. The upstairs continued with high quality furnishings. The bathroom is to die for with my 4 year old swimming in the bath each night. The doors were heavy, however door stops were provided to stop little ones fingers being caught in the doors. I could not fault this cottage and would have loved to have taken it home with me. The location is ideal as a base to explore this part of Wales. Looking to book again next year.

  • "The cottage was Lovely, fantastic bathroom and glorious bath, very comfortable beds which we definitely needed after exploring the area."

It was a little chilly the first few nights so we lit the stove fire like we would at home and it was very cosy. Due to coronavirus most/all pubs, shops and restaurants were closed so we cooked in every night and the kitchen was suitably equipt. We did many walks including to the summit of snowdon and had a absolutely lovely time away from the usual 4 walls, which during this strange time we have seen lot of. The minute we arrived and walked into the house and saw a lovely welcome hamper, our holiday began, nice treats to tuck into after a long drive up from Kent. Thank you very much Skye and especially the cottage owners -its beautiful as is the countryside.

  • "Ty Arthur has been thoughtfully designed with great decoration and extremely good cleanliness."

The welcome pack was a pleasant surprise and great fully received after a long journey! The bedrooms are really comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is a definite wow factor with a bath and shower to die is for (especially after a climb up and down Snowdon!). The outside space with a toilet and washing facilities was very useful for muddy boots and paws! I would like to note that some people may find the noise from the road noticeable each morning, it does disturb your lie in from around 630am! It’s not constant but it’s there all the same! On another note, the kitchen would benefit from more kitchen ware such as, baking trays, roasting dishes, tongs etc. As we like to eat in during the week we did struggle with a lack of things! Having said this, we will definitely return in the future, the cottage is superb and with a few tweaks, it would be perfect. It’s a great base for exploring Snowdon having visited Betws-y-Coed, Conwy, climbed Snowdon, Zip World - Bounce Below and Coed-y-Brenin (cycling tracks) we had a great week! Thank you!

  • "Really lovely place to stay."

The quality of everything in the house was very good. Only two concerns I'd raise. First, the car grounded a couple of times going on and off the parking space at the rear of the cottage - once when I went near to the raised corner and once just going off the centre of the space. Obviously these things happen, but it might upset other customers with newer cars a bit more than me! Second, it might be worth noting that (despite excellent double glazing) there will be some road noise, as the property is on a main road. For those more used to road noise I'd doubt it would be a major problem, but for those that live in more rural places it could take some getting used to (I did wake a few times when some faster vehicles went past).

The trip itself to North Wales was full of adventures, with lots to do if you love zip wires, walking with breathtaking scenery. Loved the bathroom and also the utility room as my husband loved using it as a changing room after his morning run.very central place to visit all the places we wanted to .would love to visit again sometime . The stairs were quite steep as I have a hip problem so might not be suitable for elderly people. The fire doors were quite stiff and heavy but you felt safe knowing you were protected.

  • "The cottage is a little haven and beautifully decorated throughout, no expense has been spared on the makeover of this property."

The bedrooms are spacious, the bathroom is amazing. We can imagine sitting there in the winter months with the log burning fire on. The cottage has everything you need for making lovely meals and the nearby shops do supply most of what you require if you’re a stay at home cook. The beds are large and comfortable. Charging for electric cars is a superb ideal, you do need to have your wit about you for parking though as the narrow back alley is tight so in a BIG car you could struggle, but that isn’t the fault of the cottage owners that is the general makeup of the area. Thank you for letting us stay in this wonderful cottage. John& Louise

We stay in quite a lot of properties and, although they are nearly always brilliant, this one is outstanding. Everything you want or need is found here, there are no negatives, modern, light, comfortable, perfect for our 3 generation break. I would love to return but I think it may be booked rapidly once word gets around, thank you to the person who looks after this property, the welcome pack was first class.

The standard of the refurbishment was superb. All facilities were well thought out and every need provided for. There was a substantial welcome pack in the kitchen waiting for us which was much appreciated. The only issue was the self closing fire doors wich needed adjusting and slammed shut. I have notified the landlord and he said he would do this. We would definately rate this cottage to friends and family and on our next visit try to use again.
