    It's position in the heart of Conwy is fantastic and it was very peaceful despite being in a bustling town. Communication with the owner was very efficient and helpful. The cottage gave us everything we wished for. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Hafan Glyd is a perfect little home from home."

    It's cosy and snug, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a games area in the loft space which is easily accessible by a stairway from the main bedroom. Everything looks brand new, and the decor is tastefully done. Being within the old town walls, the house is right in the centre of Conwy and so close to eateries, the castle and the harbour. For all that, it is also in a quiet spot with no passing traffic. As suggested from other reviews, it is best to reverse up the narrow street to park right outside the house, to make access and egress more manageable. I love Conwy, with its proximity to other places to visit in the local area (Plas Newydd, Anglesey, Bodnant Gardens, Llandudno and others), and staying at Hafan Glyd made our holiday even better. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "We enjoyed our stay."

    The cottage was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would ask for is a couple of hooks to hang wet coats on!

  • "Had a lovely stay in Hafan Glyd, very cosy, clean, decorated to a high standard and the furniture was of a high standard too."

    Plenty of facilities in the kitchen. Parking as mentioned on other reviews is easier if you reverse up the dead end road. This was not a problem for us. There’s so much to do in and around Conwy and we met some lovely local people. We will definitely be coming back here again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "We (family of 4) loved our stay at Hafan Glyd."

    It's a charming property situated in the heart of a bustling old Welsh town. There's so much to see and do within the town itself and much of it is just a short walk away. It's well equipped and has been renovated to a high standard. The owners are pleasant and attentive too. I'd also recommend reversing up to the property and am grateful to those that suggested doing so. My tip would be to take slippers, although it must be said that the heating system is really easy to use and very efficient.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Hafod Glyd, it is a lovely little cottage, warm, comfortable and newly decorated."

    It is perfectly located within the town walls so close to all of the shops restaurants and of course the castle. We can totally recommend the marine walk just 4 minutes from the front door and absolutely stunning on a sunny morning and perfect for watching the January sunrise followed by breakfast in one of the numerous cafes less than 500 yards away

  • "We had a really lovely time at Hafan Glyd, Conwy, North Wales."

    The little cottage was immaculate. It was clean, beautiful decorated, cosy & had everything you could possibly need for a great family get away. Our stay was over the Christmas week & they had decorated the house beautifully with lovely little Christmas touches, which was really appreciated as the kids were away from home & somewhere different, so it made a big difference. Conwy was so festive with lights up, decorated trees & outdoor Christmas Eve party which they do every year by the castle which was busy with singing, music, Santa appearing on the ramparts & fireworks. The kids loved it. There are lots of lovely boutique shops & great places to go for walks with the dog. The hosts replied very quickly when we had a couple of questions. There were great views of the castle walls from right outside the windows. We would definitely recommend a visit & would love to comeback again when we visit our family in North Wales, as it's the perfect bolt hole. All round a great stay. Thank you.

  • "The cottage had every thing that we needed, it was lovely and very homely."

    Very clean and tidy. The cottage is in a fab location with everything close by. Parking can be an issue at busy times, we and others found it easier to reverse up the road, can be very tight when cars are parked at both sides of the road. I would definitely stay again and recommend this cottage for a nice little break away

  • "Excellent location, literally in the middle of the beautiful town."

    This is practically a new house, been completely renovated and is lovely. It is small but the location makes up for it. Lovely inside, with all the facilities you need. Parking is tight but manageable.

Hafan Glyd rests in a simply stunning setting close to the bustling heart of the historic market town of Conwy in North Wales.

With the iconic walls of Conwy Castle forming a dramatic backdrop, it's perfect for a couples’ holiday or a family break.

Park up outside the property and make your way into the charming, terraced property where a light and airy entrance hall greets visitors.

The sitting room has a welcoming ambience with a Smart TV, ideal for chilling out and relaxing after an energetic day of exploring the local region.

When tummies start rumbling, the designated chef can easily navigate the well-equipped kitchen, which has everything needed to produce hearty food for the holiday party.

The elegant dining room complete with an attractive woodburning stove, offers an inviting space, ideal for entertaining.

Guests can look forward to delightful meals in this space and if the younger guests want to get away from it all, the games room on the top floor offers a fantastic alternative space.

Nearby towns and villages worth visiting include Abergele, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Kinmel Bay.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe.
