  • "Pen Y Bryn is a lovely detached cottage."

Although this is an old property it has a lot of mod cons inside. A extremely well equipped kitchen and delightful lounge. Two Large bedrooms with comfy beds. I found the parking easy and never once had a problem, there is a turning point on the road which enables you to turn the car around facing the right way, as the road is a cul de sac. An easy walk into Conwy especially if you go down Mount Pleasant as it takes you right to the Marina walks. The town has plenty of great restaurants and shops. I would definitely book this property again. Thank you to the owners who are only a call or email away for letting us stay. Jacqueline & Ray

The cottage is well equipped, warm, cosy and full of character. It is ideally placed within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants, many of which are dog friendly and it is a short drive from great walks in Snowdonia and Anglesey. Perfect.

  • "What a wonderful place."

So very comfortable and cosy. Great to have a second bedroom containing another double bed instead of the tiny single beds most self catering places have. The main bedroom was very spacious. We were left a bottle of wine which we really enjoyed. Our border collie also made himself right at home straight away! The only issue was a slight problem with the heating when we arrived. This was soon sorted out by one of the owners Nick. Thank you, Dave,Karen & George.

Perfect for a no-drive holiday as Conwy and it's attractions all within walking distance. Enclosed courtyard garden and conservatory ideal for home-base relaxing. Excellent sleeps! Only improvement could be the bathroom which is a bit dated.

The beds are particularly comfortable and the conservatory and walled garden are a delight to spend time in. The parking space outside the cottage is a great advantage. The owners correspondence was also very welcome and informative. Only one slight downside is the walk uphill from the town to the cottage. We felt quite at home - thank you.

It was clean, well-equipped and in a perfect location to investigate everything Conwy and the surrounding areas have to offer. There is everything that you could need here which made our stay very comfortable. It’s a 5 min walk to the town, with an uphill walk back, however, the views are so nice from the top of the road it’s worth the few minutes of breathlessness! Having a parking space outside was a real benefit, not that we used the car much, everything in Conwy seems to only be a 5 minute walk away. We received a lovely bottle of wine upon our arrival, a bottle of sparkling water and tea and coffee, all very welcome - thank you

Located just 5mins from town, everything felt in easy reach whether it was a meal out, few bits from the shops or hopping on a bus or train to aid us in leaving the car behind. The owners have obviously thought through what equipment and comforts you need on holiday, meaning we felt very much at home; it was also immaculately clean. We didn’t get to use the garden as much as we hoped, but the conservatory was a great back up on those cooler days. We were very sad leaving this holiday, the combination of this cottage and Conwy was perfection, we can’t wait to return(hopefully very soon).

It was very clean and well equipped. Brilliant position in Conwy, less than 5 minutes walk into the town but far enough away that people aren't walking past all day and night. Edwards butchers, both bakeries and Archway fish and chips are all worth a visit. Luckily there were lots of walks nearby to walk off what we ate! Morfa beach is a brilliant dog friendly beach and only 15-20 minute walk. The owner of the property is extremely helpful, the cleaning company hadn't put a mattress cover on one of the beds, under current covid circumstances this was a concern but it was sorted it immediately. We loved our stay. Thanks for having us

About the location

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
