  • "We enjoyed our time in Conwy."

Ty Ni is a comfortable, well equipped house that was very clean on our arrival and a nice welcome hamper was provided. The property is approached via an extremely steep hill but it is in a very convenient position being only a ten minutes walk into Conwy town centre. The garden let's down the property as it is very small, and the decking is obviously worn out and has been covered by cheap artificial grass which is not a nice surface to walk on as it collects leaves and dust. There is a park with grass and children's play equipment very close to the property. The property has very noisy plumbing which did disturb the sleep of those of us using the upstairs bedrooms. We communicated with the owners during our stay about maintenance required in the upstairs bathroom.

  • "Very nice, clean and well-equipped property, roomy enough for the six of us and with ample parking space for our two cars."

Very convenient for walking into town. One of the best places we've stayed in. Many thanks to the owners for the generous welcoming hamper and for providing (as I had requested ) fresh bed linen and towels for our second week.

Beautifully presented, very clean, well equipped kitchen and ample bedding . Greeted by a generous welcome hamper which we demolished on our last afternoon playing pool and air hockey in the conservatory. A friendly call from the owner to check we were ok and wish us well this neat property is ideal if you want to limit your car journeys. Close to the town and Conwy castle your around 5-10 mins walk away from both. A large supermarket is a short drive away to stock up. And in the evening enjoy an al fresco meal in the well enclosed garden at the back. Perfect!

! Beautiful property, came with my parents and two of our children and there was ample space for all of us to enjoy each other’s company but also to relax separately!! The welcome basket was a lovely, much appreciated touch!! Enjoyed great days out in Conwy, Rhos on Sea, Llandudno, Betws-y-coed and Portmerion, more special memories made in stunning North Wales!!

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Ty Ni last week."

The house is beautiful, lots of space, plenty of seating and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked and the welcome hamper was a really lovely touch. The weather wasn't great while we were there but the pool/football/air hockey table and board games were a welcome distraction. It's an easy walk into Conwy and a short drive Llandudno. We definitely plan to return.

  • "Had a lovely stay at Ty-Ni."

Our Grandchildren particularly loved the conservatory with the football/snooker/air hockey table. House was comfortable with plenty of space to be able to spread out and very well equipped. Nice to walk into Conwy down the snicket to avoid the big hill. Although the house is on an estate it is very quiet. Good selection of board games to play too. Only drawback I can mention is that due to the ensuite bathroom upstairs being very small with no room to put a towel rail, it would benefit from a hook on the door to hang a towel/dressing gown but having said that, it wouldn't stop us booking again. We did have an issue with the shower (which turned out to be operator error...DOH) but Dylan was quick to come and have a look and tell us where we we're going wrong. All in all a lovely time was had by all.

It is a great centre to explore the surrounding area from and the castle and walls are well worth a visit. The house itself is very comfortable and well furnished. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. The welcome pack was the best we have ever received. Thank you for that. There are some good restaurants in the area. We throughly enjoyed our stay in North Wales.

  • "Very comfortable house with plenty of room for an extended family."

The Welcome Hamper was extremely generous with lots of essentials and treats (one of the best we've had from a holiday rental). We can highly recommend the local chippy for supper once you've unpacked (look in the Welcome Book for directions) as there is a 5 min cut through in the cul de sac which leads you to it alongside the local store and a children's play area. Very helpful owners as we had an issue with the lights in the ensuite shower room (they wouldn't stay on) and Dylan came over after work to try and rectify them, followed the next day by the electrician who had apparently sorted the same problem a few weeks ago. Hopefully future guests can now shower under the spotlights! Also, just worth noting if you are bringing young children, there is a low wall to one side of the decking (next to the conservatory) which has a significant drop onto the concreted garden of the neighbouring property. We were quite surprised that this wasn't mentioned in previous reviews or by Sykes in their description of the property. Minor issues aside we had a very enjoyable week and would recommend a stay here.

Thanks for a wonderful holiday. Owners had really thought about everything we might need for a relaxing stay. The facilities were just perfect for our family. And so clean and tidy! Just a joy staying there. I was also so impressed with how welcoming the owners were- they phoned up beforehand to see how we would like the beds arranged and checked we were OK during a storm. Really did go beyond duty in all areas- facilities available, welcome. We managed to leave some items in the house and very swift response and helpful in getting the back to us. Despite the weather ( lots of rain when we stayed) there was plenty to do nearby and plenty to entertain the kids and ourselves inside the house as well- great selection of games and the pool table/ air hockey was definitely a hit with the kids. They also left lots of suggestions of interesting places to visit. Will definitely be visiting again- in fact loved it so much tried to book our next holiday but was already booked

The kitchen is fantastic; very modern and well kitted out. One of the nicest we’ve had in a rental home. Everything we needed and the welcome basket a nice finishing touch. It’s an easy walk into Conwy which is such a lovely town. Great to walk round the walls or to the Marina for a good meal. There is plenty to do in the area and walks from the door. Plenty of space for me, hubby, our toddler and baby and my parents. The property was very clean and in these times of extra sanitation etc it was great to have so many cleaning products, anti bac wipes and hand sanitiser provided. The family bathroom was fantastic, lovely large walk in shower and our toddler enjoyed the big, deep bath. Dylan was very helpful before our stay and met us on arrival. We were very impressed that having mentioned we had two small children, a stair gate had been put up before we arrived. One less thing to worry about. There was a welcome hamper of bread, jam, biscuits, sweets etc and milk, butter and fresh orange juice in the fabulous American fridge freezer (which was plumbed in and dispensed chilled water and ice cubes - perfect for the G&T’s!). Again, it was a nice touch. If we were to return to the area, I would have no hesitation in booking Ty Ni again - highly recommended.

About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
