Great welcome pack and helpful hosts. Bit tight for space in terms of kitchen work surfaces. Superb location Nice to have use of pool but didn't use it on this occasion Incredible scenic spot. Handy for local walks on the doorstep and esy to commute to see the sights

  • "We had a wonderful 4 nights at The Brackens."

Our hosts June and Alan were very welcoming. They gave us a lovely basket of delicious goodies. Wine, chocolates, cheeses, Welsh cakes and other lovely foodie delights. The apartment was excellent. Very comfortable, warm, clean and modern. The highlight for us was the private pool which we were able to enjoy as much as we liked. We really enjoyed our time at The Brackens and would definitely visit again in the future.

  • "Our stay certainly lived up to all our expectations so much so that we have already rebooked for later this year."

What a joy our 4 night break was. Our hosts were so welcoming - a lovely couple. The apartment was spotlessly clean throughout and were greeted with the most amazing welcome pack ever. The pool was just a joy to use daily and the view over rolling countryside from the upper decking area was just so relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful private gardens come with the apartment and we were lucky to spot lots of wildlife. It really is a Home from Home. Would really recommend to any future guests thinking of booking.

The holiday home is very comfortable and clean with the most amazing welcome pack! The pool is beautiful and warm and the owners so welcoming and have thought of everything, they are a super couple who do an amazing job. The cottage is on the edge of Loggerheads Country Park with stunning views and walks. A highly recommended holiday let.

  • "I've never met such a welcoming and generous host family."

The accommodation is clean and comfortable, stocked with everything you could possibly need from dressing gowns and manicure set to shoe polish. Our welcoming pack was amazing and included bottle of wine, selection of fruit, selection of cheese and crackers, biscuits, crisps and the most delicious home made cake. The swimming pool was great and the water was so warm we made good use of it. The Brackens is ideally situated and within short driving distance to many towns and tourist attractions and there are some country side walks right on your doorstep. There's a delightful private garden just for your use with a picnic table, barbecue, loungers and a summer house which I believe has a number of garden games in it. I really think the host family want to give holiday makers the best experience possible. We loved it.

If not, make use of the pool and the facilities, set in beautiful grounds and private garden, highly recommended and the owners are lovely. All the little extras make a huge difference and my 1 year old thoroughly enjoyed the crocodile float !!

  • "On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised by the overall standard of the holiday let."

The extras that were supplied by our hosts were far beyond what we could have expected with a lovely basket of goodies bottle of wine cheese and biscuits etc. The only slight negative for me personally was the double bed but that is personal preference only. Lovely hosts that once shown the facilities left you alone to do as you pleased. Would look forward to returning in the future.

  • "I enjoyed a lovely, relaxing 3 days at The Brackens."

It was very well presented, clean, cosy and very comfortable. On arrival there was a lovely home made cake waiting for me, a hamper, wine and other essentials. Alan and June who own the property were there to meet me on arrival (as late as I was) they are both lovely people, welcoming and friendly. The surrounding areas were lovely, the private garden and swimming pool was perfect for me who just wanted to relax in a peaceful environment

  • "Had a great week here."

Though the apartment isn’t huge it is very well designed and it works really well. Beautifully furnished and fitted. Spotlessly clean. Loads of towels and linen. It was fantastic to return in the afternoon to the private use of a beautiful pool and pool house facilities until the early evening. June and Alan the owners are at hand to answer all your questions and nothing is too much trouble. I will say though that if stairs are a problem to you, the appartnent is on the first floor but if you can manage them, then it is well worth the effort.

The apartment was well equipped and design well thought out . Everything we needed a lovely homemade cake and welcome goodies which was most appreciated thank you June. The hosts June and Alan were lovely very friendly and made you feel well at home. We were there when the “ beast from the east “ came to visit but we were very warm and cosy and the pool was warm like a nice bath we had loads of fluffy towels and robes , absolutely brilliant. Want to go back but it appears it’s all booked up. A great little find.
