  • "The owner has taken into account the previous feedback dated October last year, we found the rental to be clean and everything working fine , plus a very nice little welcoming pack ."

The property is well placed, right on the sea front with stunning bay views from the balcony and the “snug”. I’d say the property is best suited to 4 people , we managed fine but 6 people might struggle with storage space , but overall no hesitation in recommending this property

  • "Had a great stay at Awel Y Mor such a big place and the view of the sea and castle are breathtaking the outside roof terrace is amazing, comfy beds and great wet room with powerful shower, there are quite a few maintenance issues and so many light bulbs out I lost count and the dust and cobwebs were a bit much these should of been addressed before our arrival, the front door and key lock on wall really does need some urgent maintenance, a few things where old and worn that need replacing the heating was off when we arrived and the place was freezing and smelled of damp, could not find any air fresheners, the kids played count the dead flies in the living room lamp with one of the bulbs broken which was a bit embarrassing, hopefully they fix the issues I have mentioned as if they are not made aware how can they address them."

  • "The cottage exceeded our expectations - it was light, bright and the sofas were sooooo comfortable."

Loved the terrace, loved the view, loved sitting watching the bay whether it was sunny or rainy. Perfect location for us to explore the Llyn Peninsula, Portmeirion and Eryri (Snowdonia). The bedrooms are definitely on the cosy side - not sure it would be ideal if there were 6 adults staying together with lots of clothes - but the expansive ground floor and terrace means there would be plenty of space for everyone to relax during the day. We would definitely rebook again!

  • "Lovely setting overall house great."

Needed some maintenance doing to sort out mould in shower room as not enough ventilation and couldn’t open window as on ground floor on to alleyway. Decking area lovely but needs painting. No sockets in main bedroom.

Thank you for your comments ,we are glad you enjoyed our property so much. We take cleanliness issues seriously and will raise your concern over the wet room with our housekeeper. We are sorry you didn’t find the power socket availability in the main bedroom adequate and the decking will again be sanded and treated at the end of the summer season. With best wishes. • "This is a very spacious and comfortable holiday home in a beautiful seaside village."

A big selling point is the balcony, which gives spectacular views across the bay. However, the on-street parking can be a bit problematic and the lack of a few consumables (e.g. dishwasher tablets, cling film and kitchen foil) was a minor irritation. Having said that we were very lucky with the weather and had a fabulous holiday.

  • "Property is in need of maintenance (paint on walls in living room for example) celling lights, need new lamps (living room above the table and on the landing did not work) kitchen requires a medium and large cooking pot (there was only 4 small one's which is not ideal as the house is rented out to a max of 6 people) we were a family of 5 so impossible to cook pasta for 5 for example."

Thank you for this feedback which we take seriously. The lights mentioned are touch sensitive ( as you will have discovered) and come on and off and dim when the bar is held - all bulbs have been checked and are now in working order. ( the spares were in a draw in the sitting room ) Similarly ,I’m sorry you found the pan sizes unsuitable for your party ,there is in fact a large pan which our housekeeper has confirmed is still there and she has now made it more obvious. Painting of the living room will be looked into - this will only be possible when there are no guests in the cottage. Thank you again for your feed back and we hope you had a lovely holiday in beautiful Criccieth. Property Owner

  • "We really feel we struck gold when we found this house."

Everything was so easy and convenient. From the small sachets of salt etc to save an emergency dash to the shops, to the huge selection of board games and books in the snug. Sleeping 6 and having 2 bathrooms, it would very easily cater for a large family, or different generations in the same stay. With plenty of space to be alone or with a party. The views are amazing! Just as it looks from the photos. We felt like King and Queen in the castle. There was a chip shop and an ice cream parlour a little down the road. We had a great meal in a local pub, also, with the kitchen being fully equipped we were able to make our own meals etc. The deck is huge and really makes the most of the space, the sun stayed on the deck into the evening, and watching the moon rise over the sea was a first. I did have some worries about parking as we borrowed a convertible car however, we never failed to get a space right outside. Criccieth is a great base to see so much of north Wales and Anglesey is easily reachable. There is also a small station a short walk away if you want to leave the car behind. Will I return? You bet! However, this time with more of my family.
