It's so good I nearly didn't leave a review, so I can keep it to myself. The outside requires more work, but it's totally fine with a jacuzzi to boot - the owner's state it's a work in progress. The faultless interior and amazingly well stocked equipment totally makes up for that. We will be coming back!

The hot tub was thoroughly used by us all, and a welcome sight after walking in this beautiful area. On an admin point, even though we booked at very short notice, all documents and cottage information came to us very quickly. Couldn't have asked for better.

The house has everything you could possibly need. It was perfect for our young grandson, who enjoyed playing with all the toys provided. The bedrooms were beautiful with good quality bedding. The house is big enough that we weren’t on top of each other at all and evenings near the log burner were so cosy. I would love to return to Beach House and Criccieth. I have also been really impressed with the helpful staff at Sykes Cottages. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so perfect.

  • "Property was fantastic it was as was advertised."

Very clean and everything you need for a comfortable stay.Lovely town within 10 minutes walk with a pub, restaurants, small supermarket, bakery and butchers. Trains (2 hourly)and Buses available every half hour. A restaurant also on the doorstep serving great food although abit pricey (Dylans). Fantasic beach (amazing colourful stones) and lots of walks locally. It is also driving distance of many tourist attractions. Unfortunately the Hot tub was out of use the whole of our stay which was disappointing. We was made aware of the issue and the postal strikes delayed the parts arriving so not the owners fault.

Thanks for your feedback. Dylan’s is our family favourite as it is stunning and just a stones throw away. After our supplier let us down by sending the wrong part, we had hoped to get the replacement part delivered in time for you to get some use of the tub. Alas the postal strikes meant it was only delivered and fitted on the day you departed but hopefully you appreciated the gesture we made to make up for the disappointment. Property Owner

The house in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac, close the beach. It offers fantastic views. We feel it is the perfect house for a family get together. The house is comfortable and has everything needed for a week away. The garage contains a playroom which my 3 year old Nephew absolutely loved. The hot tub is a lovely addition ad provided some relaxing times. The Master Bedroom is so luxurious, with a huge bed and beautiful en-suite and cracking views of the sea. My parents use this room and it is important to us that they are comfortable and warm - which this room provides in spades. We love this house and will hopefully return again next year for our 3rd annual family getaway at The Wonderful Beach House. Thank you.

Excellent village easy to walk to with the beach, Dylans (Give it a try-its to die for - book in advance tho!), footgolf/kayak/paddle boarding on your doorstep. Few little pubs, butchers, takeaway, cafes etc in walking distance. Day 2 call from the owner which was lovely and always helpful when asked any questions. An abundance of space, from the ability to park numerous cars, to the lovely gardens and terrace all flowing from the huge proportions of the house itself. The garden is an absolute sun trap from morning to evening and with hot tub and children's area really does cater for everyone. The enormous master bedroom suite was the biggest bedroom we have ever slept in and having only just got home, we are already looking forward to going again later this year. We couldn't recommend the house and its helpful owners enough, They really provide everything that one could possibly want for a relaxing family holiday.

  • "The beach house was not very clean."

My husband had to go and bought oven cleaner to clean the cooker before we could us it. Some of the lights didn’t work. Could not use the bbq it was dirty and rusty. On our second week on the Wednesday night 26th August. My husband put food in the oven. All the electricity went off my husband turned them back on and they just kept going off. I tried to phone the owner 3 time could not get in touch with him. I so my husband rang him and he answered. We lost £50.00 in food that was in the oven because we had no electricity. So all the food went in the bin and we had to order a takeout which cost us more money. The sent out a electric man the next day. So that put a damper on the rest of the holiday. We have had holiday home for the past 20 years and never had a bad experience like that before.

Thanks for leaving your feedback. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion as the Beach House is truly our second home and we want all of our guests to have a great experience. We have spoken to our head cleaner who has apologised for things that were missed and has reiterated the agreed regime to her team of staff. However, we do understand that she has been doing her best to recruit, train, mobilise and oversee a new seasonal workforce at extremely shorter notice given the extended lockdown in Wales. The power outage was caused by the unseasonably wet and windy weather that blighted much of your two weeks at the Beach House. However, we were pleased that we were able to restore power to main house within one hour of you reporting the issue, and to the garage the next day. We are aware of other complaints that you have made to Sykes and are continuing to work with them and yourselves to reach an amicable outcome. Property Owner

The line’s ranger ticket is great value, or small group ticket. The Welsh Highland Railway or Ffestiniog make great all weather days. Plenty to see locally to the house and what a great house it was also! We had seven adults, the king size ground floor en-suite was great for our parents. I especially chose this house for its proximity and largely flat access to the promenade and beach. This made the wheelchair easy for dad. Then there’s the lovely view from the house! The garage was superbly equipped with toys for all ages! The sea view from the upstairs windows covering the estuary, sea, hills and castle was picture postcard material. The grandchildren were particularly enthusiastic about their bunk bed room with its nautical theme and unique lighting scheme. The house was beautifully decorated and very well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, full height fridge, and extra freezer in the garage. More than enough cutlery and dishes. The colourful and well maintained rear garden with its hot tub and lawn provided an excellent two level enclosed play or relaxation area Furnishings had been thoughtfully chosen and complemented with interesting lighting schemes. The single track railway line at the bottom of the garden was not a problem and never a noise nuisance. More than adequate parking for 3/4 cars. The main bedroom and with ensuite shower and bath provided a superb and large escape area for grandparents. Multiple televisions around the house were largely unused as there was too much to do! The house more than met its claim to be a ten person unit. We felt that this was a superb beautifully presented home where the owners had completed a total make-over and simply left it to us to enjoy.
